#1 The Beginning Of An End

"Long ago, two races ruled over Earth, Humans and Monsters. They both lived in harmony and were discovering together more and more about themselves and the Universe. One day, We were starting to feel threatened by the monsters that were living among us, so the Humans, that means us, built a Sky City where only we would live in. The Monsters were scolded away by us and with the power of the first magical core of our City, We made a barrier that traps the other race on the planet. Our population was growing significantly and so we expanded the Sky City up to the point it was surrounding the entire planet! For Centuries, we live happily above the monsters! Any questions?" Asked the History Teacher looking at us. A boy raised his hand and spoke:"But I see a Scrap Yard nearby, and it's always half full or even clean! Where all the scraps go?" "That's a very good question, Lukas!" said the teacher. "The Scraps are taken by androids or excavators and are thrown on the planet through holes in the Scrap Yard!" Another girl raised her hand. "But it won't just hit the barrier? Or it will just float in space?" "Another good question, Rose! Actually the scraps can go through the barrier on the ground! Any more questions?" I raised my hand. "Is it possible to fall in one of the holes in the Scrap Yard and meet the monsters?" Everyone laughed but are calmed down by the teacher. "Frisk, You would fall from hundreds of meters! You have no chance of surviving!" another kid raised their hand. "Did anyone fell?" "Well.." said the teacher quite sad looking out the window "..there were several cases of children falling or slipping off the edge and fall on Earth.." The bell rang. "Oh well, that ends our lesson for today..! Go and have a great afternoon kids!..". The teacher stood up, closed the projector and walked out as we all raised from our seats and saluted her. Oh. You may wonder who I am and why I told you a boring lesson of miss Yvette. My name is Kana Chizue, but people call me Frisk, for being mostly lively and always alerted. I may not sound so cheerful because back then a lot has been happening in my family. My father was called to "help" in the Core. The Core is like a big sauna and when he comes back he's heavily burned and always sad. My mother was always telling me and my sister, he will be ok..But he didn't look like it. I was walking on the road looking at the sunset then went left in the park. My mother and father were poor and so we lived in a hut we made next to the park and the Scrap Yard. Despite living there, me and my sister were dressing up like any other student in school and so no one suspected a thing. I say "suspect" because the low lives, like us, were taken in the core..and said that they rarely got back...it would be the same thing about Father? As I was walking deep in thought, I heard a small voice from behind me. I looked back and I saw my sister. My sibling is younger than me and she's a very shy figure. Her name is Tereaybō Chizue. "Sister! Sister!" she called me. "What is it, Rey?" I asked her. "The Guards destroyed our house! They are coming this way! Mom said to run in the Scrap Yard! I'm scared! What do we do??" asked my little sister sobbing and hugging me. I sat there for a moment until I look ahead and see the guards after us. They are massive robotic beings..but these ones were covered in blood. Our mother told only to me that the guards were sometimes given orders to kill the poor people to balance the population. As I started to cry as well, understanding that we didn't have a home or parents anymore, I grabbed my sister and ran as fast as I could through a shortcut around the guards in the Scrap Yard. The Janitor, an old friend of mine, saw us crying and running and tried to stop us and then saw the guards after us and he let us run and stand straight looking at the guards. They stop and look down at him and we go up on a big pile of scraps. "Hello gentlemen! What are you doing in these scraps?" asked the Janitor. "Chizue family. Two siblings. Still alive." "Are you really working your butts out over some girls? Look around! In these scraps, they could've hurt themselves and then eaten alive by old robots." said the Janitor quite tranquil as the guards think a little. The guards salute the Janitor and they walk away and me and my sister sigh in relief as I make an" Ok" sign to the Janitor and he just winks. "I think we're safe here for now..-!!" said my sister as we both felt the ground shaking and we looked up. The big excavator grabbed us and a big pile of scraps and was moving towards the hole. Our hearts beat as one as we were looking around scared. Before we thought about jumping off, the excavator threw me and my sister alongside some scraps in the hole miss Yvette was telling about earlier. I looked at the shocked crying Janitor and I started crying again I just hugged my sister as we fell down on Earth with the Janitor screaming on the Sky City.
