(Kira's POV)

“Kira, get up now or you'll be late for school" my mom said knocking on my door. “Ok mom" I sighed still half asleep. Just another day in that hell hole... I swear if I didn't have to keep my grades up and graduate I'll never go back. The thing is I'm not really popular at my school nor am I an outcast, Im jus an average girl in the crowd but honestly that's good enough for me... I'm here ranting on and on and not even introduce myself yet not that it really matters people don't always have an interest in me.
I'm kira  17 years old and am not like any other girl, I don't like girly stuff and I don't get excited over boys or presents I only get excited when I get good grades, new books or when my favorite show/series comes out, and it's sad to say I go to rosewood high school where having the perfect body and face makes you popular.
I try my best to stay away from the popular crowd as much as possible, am not gonna lie some of the boys are cute but I couldn't have a chance with them even if I wanted to and the reason for that is the queen bee of our school, Kiley Jenson and her followers kayla and nicole Johnson. They are a pain sometimes but when you avoid them they get annoyed and leave you alone, the trick is u don't let anything they do or say get to u.
Sometimes my best friend Allison fights back cause she doesn't take talk from others that's why I love her so much and she stands up for me sometimes too although I don't need it because I can defend myself but hey I enjoy seeing her put them in their place so am ok with it.
Suddenly I remember I gotta go to school... so I got up and start doing my morning routine after I was done I started looking for clothes to wear, honestly I don't really like dressing up but I guess I'll just dress nice today so I grab my blue high waist pants and a white crop top with my blue and white sneakers and grab my bag and phone and head down stairs.
“Hey mom, what's for breakfast" I said as I kissed her cheek, “hi sweetie uh well I have your favorite, bacon eggs and toast bread with butter and your orange juice" my mom said handing me my food and to be honest I love when she looks after food for me cause it's the best.
After eating all of my food cause I couldn't be late again I said bye to my mom and rushed out the door to meet my best friend Allison already waiting on me “morning kira" she smiled brightly “morning ally, why are you so happy so early" I asked “well if you must know brandon asked me out and I said yes and the date went well at first and he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes" ally squeal “omg ally I'm happy for you, but be careful remember he's best friends with Jase and I don't want him to hurt you" I said, and I was happy for her I just didn't want her to get hurt like she's one of my best friends. “ I know you don't want me to get hurt but I promise you this isn't a dare or anything and I really like him so please don't do anything rash" she begged.
And I know what she meant, her first boyfriend was scared of me I heard he was dating ally so I had a friendly convo with him if you know what I mean turns out I scared him so bad he peed his pants and never did anything wrong and always check with me before doing anything with her and I would beat them up when they joined the wrong company and hurt her but hey its fun  to hurt them like they hurt her... I know I'm charming right.
“I won't I promise" I said crossing my fingers I mean come on who wouldn't want to protect their best friend. And just as I finish saying that we pulled up in the schools parking lot, sighing I got out the car... Into hell we go.
