STOLEN HEARTS

Nova & Gale

I watched as Lily walked to her car.

I decided to leave as well.

I had to get to work as soon as possible.

I took out my phone and checked the time.

"HOLY SHIT!!!!" I yelled.

Everyone nearby gave me weird looks. I just glared at them and they looked away.

"What is it?" Sylvia asked.

"I have five minutes till my shift starts!!!" I told her as I ran to my car.

I could here her and Nashi laughing.

I rolled my eyes as I started to get going.

I was five minutes late.

Thankfully, my manager, Alex, was really kind and said it was ok.

I work at a little cafè near my school.

I was a chef, but sometimes a waitress.

I was in the middle of making rice balls when my manager ran in.

"Nova! Can you sing?" She asked.

"Yeah. But wh-" I was cut off short by Alex grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the kitchen.

"I need you to give these customers some entertainment." Alex told me.

"But...what about the food?" I asked, still really confused.

"I'll do it. Now go!" She demanded.

"Um...why do I need to do entertainment, the cafè has been good without it." I told her.

"People are asking if we do entertainment, and I said yes. Now go do it!" Alex begged.

"Ok, ok." I laughed.

I was happy I had my guitar in the car.

I grabbed and came back in.

I went up to the little stage and thought of a song to sing.

Once I figured out a couple, I started.

Gale's P.O.V.

When I walked into the cafè, I heard a familiar voice start singing.

I took and seat and looked at the person on a stool, on the little stage at the corner of the cafè.

It was Nova.

She just finished her song when a waitress came up to me, asking what I wanted.

I told her just a coffee.

She nodded and went to get it.

Nova was started another song as the waitress left.

As she started, she looked at me.

Our eyes were locked together the entire song.

My heart sped up during the entire time we were staring at each other.

I didn't know what was going on. What was I feeling?

I never noticed the cup of coffee in front of me until after the song.

I looked at Nova one more time and I thought I saw a hint of red covering her face.

I turned away and went back to my cup of coffee.
