The Final Year

A day to remmember

It's October 29 (aka the day before my birthday) and I still haven't spoken a word to Kenney. Was I over exaggerating?

After I got ready for school I was walking in to the kitchen to grab a pop tart to eat while waiting for the bus. I was just about to leave when I got a text from Emily in our group conversation
"meet me in the gym before school we need to talk. -Emily"

I wonder what it was about?

When i got to the bus stop Brodrick, jordan, and Johnny were all standing in a circle talking about last nights football game. So I decided to join in, "Hey guys!" I said gesturing a wave using my pointer finger. "Oh hey Megan!" Jordan said turning to face me. "Ok soo guess what tomorrow is!" I said while doing weird hand movements "ummm the day before Halloween DUHHH!" Johnny said rolling his eyes in a sarcastic way "Ha ha very funny.." I answer back in the same tone. "No tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! Duhhhh!" I say skipping around a random persons yard. "Sweet... what type of amazing gift is your boyfriend gonna get you this year." Brodrick says in a unpleasant tone " ok 1. Ouch and 2. I don't have a boyfriend to get me whatever "amazing" gift I normally get on birthday" I say making quotations with my fingers. "GEEZE lady come down im just kidding goodness!" He said putting his hands up in the air "Uhuh sure you were." I say while walking on to the bus.

~In the gym~

I walk in to the gym with Hayley to find Maiya, Emily, Kayley, and Savannah sitting on the top row of the bleachers "hey guys" hayley says sitting down in the row in front of them "Hey Hayley" Maiya says making a weird face at her. "Emily where Kenney?" I say looking around confused "Sense when did you care?" Savannah says looking up from her phone "sense when did I not care.... ok listen I might over exaggerated A bit but I want to talk to Kenney...do you know where she is?!" I say throwing my bag down and taking a seat by Hayley and kayley " No I don't" Savannah says "Ok so anyway I was thinking maybe we could all go to the mall together tonight and maybe go to David busters?!" Emily says shaking with excitement " YA I think I'm free I mean it's not like my parents have anything big planned tonight." I say flipping my hair everyone else agreed to meet at the mall at 5:30 later that night... now all I have to do is talk to Kenney.

~5th period~

5th period was the only period i had with Kenney all day. I always hated this class but now sense me and kenney are refusing to talk to each other, it has became even worse.I knew 

kenney  couldn’t hold a grudge forever and she is my bestfriend. When I get to class I see Kenney faceing the other way oviding my eyes.“Hey kenney” I asked her as I stood behind him. She just ingnored me, like shes been doing all day. After, awhile I just went to sit down. “When you really think you know someone they stab you in the back.” Kenney said in a whisper. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. “Megan go sit down” Mrs.micks voice told me, I ignored her. “What do you mean, I haven’t done anything wrong?” I see her turn in her sit and look me in the eyes. Her eyes were bloodshot and were tearing. “You don’t even know what day it is do you?” Today nothing was today besides the day before my birthday…” No what?” I gave her a odd look. A tear fell down her face “Mrs. Micks may I leave the classroom?” She asked before getting an answer she gather her things and left the classroom. I was left standing in the middle of class absutly dumbfounded.

Lunch~

I waked into lunchroom and went straight to our table. “Hsve you guys seen Kenny?” I asked sence she wasn’t here. “know you care?” Emily asked as couinted to eat. “well of course I care she my best –friend!” Why wouldn’t I care? “Then whats today?” Lily didn’t look at me either. What did I do! “I don’t know well someone just tell me” I yelled . I heard sniffle from behind me and looked to see kenney looking back at me with teary eyes. “You really have no clue.” She was letting her tears fall… she never showed weakness and with this big of a crowd she must have been freaking out.”Do you want to talk away from everyone? You could have a painic attack?” I could see as she clutched and unclutched her fist she was freaking out, but made no sudden move. “ Todays markes the day Ive gone a month without cutting but, after today I might just need to, and don’t tlak about my painck attacks when you don’t care.” She simply said and walked away. Today was month? I could have sowrn it wasn’t for a couple of days I total forgot. I  quickly walked after her, but before I could go anywhere someone was holding me back. I turned to see Savannah hold my wrist. “ Let her go you’ve caused enough pain for one day.” She told me and I looked around the small circle that had formed around us. Everyone looked confused but then I saw Dayton and he looked disappointed and he walked away too. Wow I even hated myself after this .
