Henry de Valois-Angoulême can already feel a headache coming on as he locks his Mercedes up, before heading inside the impressive home he shares with his wife and his children. The news of his daughter in law's assault echoed in his head, the horribly vague update from the police doing the world of good to he and his family. Especially Catherine, who suffered more and more by the day those bastards walked free in this world. Thankfully, the children hadn't been in the home when the police were inside, continuing the investigation for minute details that may help them find those fuckers who broke into Henry's own home and violated his daughter in law.
He can hear unclear voices as soon as he opens the French glass doors. Although they were muffled, the volume is loud. The patriarch of the Valois family frowns, and he goes to see what the commotion is all about. The more he walks, the clearer the voices become. The more stairs he climbs, the more coridoors he walks down, the voices become clearer, louder. The two of them sound furious. He realises it's his two eldest sons far later than he really should. It sounds like Francis is on the offensive, while Sebastian is on the defensive. Both of them are extremely angry, however.
Henry also realises that the two have came to physical blows. His steps increase their speed until he reaches Francis' impromptu apartments in the Valois family home, and he sees his two eldest boys on the floor, fists raised, voices just the same.
"Hey! Break it up!" Henry barks, rushing over to the two of them to brake up their altercation. They're both spitting mad, he realises, even throwing punches and kicks when their father pulls them apart. Henry pushes Bash to the other side of the room. Diane's son may have always had the edge on strength -being older and whatnot- but it's always been Francis to have the edge on speed and agility. Both of his boys had been trained for several years in self defence, after all. However, it was the youngest of the two to have the edge on anger, so it would be him that would be restrained by their father. Bash may be taller and stronger, but Francis had always been far more precise.
"Enough! Enough!" he yells, pushing Bash back for the third time until the man stayed where he was. Francis remains in his fathers' arms, spitting mad, jerking to get to his brother. Henry holds him tightly, shushing him until the anger had left his boy's body. Francis eventually calms, as does Bash, but Henry still holds onto Francis. "What the fuck is wrong with you both?" he asks harshly. "You're supposed to be my eldest, but you're acting worse than Charles and Henri." Henry finishes. "What the fuck?"
"He started it, father!" Bash says. "He yelled first, he threw the first punch!"
"That doesn't matter, Bash! What were you two fighting about?" he asks, holding his second born son a little tighter, realising that he hadn't said a word. Francis took after his mother, they both smouldered their anger until it came out worse than before.
"I told him about Kenna, okay? We're pregnant, dad. It's really early, but she's pregnant, okay? I thought he'd be pleased for me. Francis knows how much I want kids, but he started yelling at me! We started fighting over it, and then he hit me."
"And you hit him back?"
"Repetitively."
Henry didn't know what to say. He knew why Francis was acting like this, he couldn't really blame him, in addition. But it didn't seem like Bash knew, and he didn't want to tell his son some horrid information, especially since it wasn't his information to tell. But how could they explain this to him without revealing what happened to Mary?
"You bastard! That isn't what happened at all!" Francis snaps angrily. "You just sprung it on me that Kenna was having a baby, and you yelled at me because I didn't jump for joy! Excuse me for dealing with my own shit before I can be happy for you about yours!"
