Character Profiles

People who work at the PI Firm (Shinogi Private Investigators.)

Keiji Shinogi

25-year-old man who works as a private investigator, a firm he personally owns. He previously worked as a detective for the police, but after he shot and killed a man and was protected for it, he left the force because of corruption.

Sara Chidouin

17-year-old girl who works as Keiji's apprentice. She is friends with Joe and Ryoko, as well as a boy from another school called Ranmaru, who she has a crush on

Shunsuke Hayasaka

29-year-old man who works as the secretary at the firm. He is sometimes visited by his long-time partner, Kazumi Mishima. He is often the person to force Sara, Keiji and Anzu to go home and stop working.

Anzu Kinashi

18-year-old girl who used to be Keiji's apprentice but now works as an investigator in the firm.

People who work at the coffee shop (Satou's Sweets n Drinks.)

Joe Tazuna

17-year-old boy who is Sara's closest friend. He works at the coffee shop by the PI Office, along with Kai Satou, Nao Egokoro and Mai Tsurugi.

Nao Egokoro

19-year-old woman who works at the coffee shop alongside going to an Art College, along with Joe, Kai, and Mai. She is often visited by her girlfriend, Reko Yabasume and her former teacher Kazumi Mishima.

Kai Satou

25-year-old man who manages the coffee shop nearby the PI firm. He used to work for the Chidouins as a homemaker and looking after Sara, but now that she is 17, he tends to watch her from afar. He is school friends with Keiji, Q-Taro, and Naomichi. Due to his unfortunate background as an assassin, often has connections in places Keiji would never be able to reach, so sometimes gets roped into Keiji's investigations.

Mai Tsurugi

22-year-old woman who works at the coffee shop making the desserts. She is often visited by the baseballer Q-Taro Burgerburg though it is not clear why.

Other Characters:

Q-taro Burgerburg

25-year-old man who is a famous baseball pitcher. He is school friends with Keiji and they hangout at the weekend regularly, along with Naomichi, Naomichi's friend Shin and Kai. He knows Mai from the bakery, but it is unclear how they met, and he refuses to speak about it when asked.

Naomichi Kurumada

25-year-old man who is a professional boxer. He used to do a ton of matches but upon retiring he now runs boxing programs for the youth of the town. He hangs out with Q-Taro, Keiji, Kai and Shin. Shin is a friend he met via one of his boxing programs.

Kazumi Mishima

30-year-old man who is a high school teacher. He formally also worked at a middle school, which is where he eventually adopted Gin, along with his partner Shunsuke.

Gin Ibushi

13-year-old boy who is a middle school student. He was adopted by Kazumi, formally a teacher at his school, and his partner Shunsuke when Kazumi exposed issues Gin was having at home. He now happily attends the same school as Kanna and Hinako. They are all friends.

Reko Yabasume

23-year-old woman who is a famous singer. She was originally a part of the band Samurai Yaiba, but the band fell apart due to her brother as well as many other conflicts, so she now has a solo career. She often visits her girlfriend Nao, who works at the coffee shop nearby her studio, which is how they met.

Alice Yabasume

25-year-old man who is a thief, as well as a vampire. He often steals things off the people he eats. Originally, he was much against both of these, but as he became more accustomed to being a vampire, these no longer began to bother him.

Shin Tsumiki

24-year-old man who is a self-proclaimed job hopper. He became friends with Naomichi when he brought his adopted sisters Hinako and Kanna to his boxing program when both girls showed interest. They ended up talking a lot and becoming friends, and Shin eventually ended up friends with the rest of Naomichi's group, Q-taro, Kai and Keiji.

Kanna Kizuichi

13-year-old girl who is Shin's adopted sister. Both her and Hinako live with Shin as their adopted parents died.

Hinako Mishuku

13-year-old girl who is Shin's adopted sister. Both her and Kanna live with Shin as their adopted parents died.

Ranmaru Kageyama

17-year-old boy who is friends with Sara. He goes to a different school than her, and they met at the coffee shop. They both like each other but refuse to tell each other  that they do.
