The wizard sits meditating in his room his head begins to twitch as the memories of helping Tony against the shadow flash before his eyes when all of a sudden all the souls victims of the Shadow's wrath scream in his ear, ripping at his flesh with their dirty nails. "Why?" they all ask as his eyes roll to the back of his head. BOOM, the room seems to have explode all the walls bend out then come back together. He looks down at his chest where the souls scared him, grabbing his staff and struggles to get up. Walking over to his window he looks over Tony's recovery Mesha by his side holding his hand then walks to his mirror by his clothing, removing his cloak revealing all scars on his body from each soul like Tony who died at the hands of the Shadow picking up a long dingey long sleeve shirt he puts it on then placing his cloak back on.

"Where did those scars come from? Mesha asks out of the blue.

Looking through his mirror to find her at his door he responds, you should be with Antonio." As he walks across the room to his bed.

"I heard a loud noise come from your room, so I came to check on you."

"I'm fine it's just taking caking care of this town and trying to save lost souls like Tony's takes a tole on an old man."

"Then focus on protecting your people, I can handle him." she replies turning out the door.

"No. You can't, he will get worse I can fight the darkness better than he can plus you know of the dangers out there, how worse they will get how much deadlier the foes will be, who he will face when he reaches his destination."

She looks at the floor in sadness and utters the name Bakasura softly, the old man nods then look toward his window "He should be fully healed soon, and we can make our way out of the town."

"Who are you really? She asks curiously squinting her eyes as if she could see into his soul.

"My name is Alatar, I come from the same land as you only I was cast out I was cast out for being special, those were days when they went relentless savages, they only sacrificed to the Gods. Believing it would make our village prosperous now they just, they are just I do not know he says whipping his tears in sadness then continues speaking on his origins. I roamed the lands looking for a sign of where I can be of use, actually accepted that's when I met your princess she gave me this staff to and sent me here, where I can be the protector of the lands accepted and loved. But she told me to use the gem wisely or it will corrupt me, little did I know this town had a hidden valley of death and that people I also had to protect were wondering souls. Strangers from a world beyond our own it was my duty to protect and help them get back their world safely. For eons I have failed to save them, and I have even been forced to use dark magic to protect them but to no avail. He looks down in despair then continues to say "That is what you heard me fighting off the souls I failed to protect, and I can not die to rest until I save a soul because one soul will bring the others to peace and then I can lay to rest as well. He elaborates when a villager rushes in saying "He is up alive and well!" Altatar and Mesha close their eyes and exhale in relief, "Good get horses ready we must go and tell the village leader to watch over the people in my absence."

"But sir you have always been our first defense." The villager responds in concern.

"I believe in the leader before me he has kept you all safe, you should trust in him too. The villager nods. "Now ready the horses."
