The Radiant Rhenium

Chapter1

            It started as a regular, cold August day at Lighthouse High School when there was a huge BOOM! coming from the Science Lab. Well, let's backtrack 30 minutes to see what happened. A girl named Emma Zoldack and a boy named Alijah Mazing were talking through their rhenium project. " After this do you want to maybe hang out sometime?" Alijah asked. "Um lemme check... NO!" Emma snapped. "OK jeez" Emma wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and mixed the rhenium with some nitric acid (HNO3), which you should never do. " No Emma watch ou-" Alijah yelled launching Emma. B O O M! He was too late.  

            For 10 days straight Alijah came back to check on Emma along with her family and on the 10th days like around 10 am she jolted up. "Hey Hey Hey, relax," Alijah said softly. Emma just looked around at her surroundings and that's when the doctor walked in. " Good Morning Alijah, and look whos up. Hi I'm Dr. Lamb" she said offering her hand to Emma, but Emma just stared at it. Later that day Emma was allowed to leave, Alijah walked her out and drove her home. " Aren't you happy you woke up? I am" Alijah asked Emma. " You know I saw you there every day for the 10 days I was out, I saw you cry, and be there with me the whole time. Why? I am rude to you and i turn you every time I get the chance." Emma said. " Well, because I... I don't..wait you saw me?" Alijah managed to spit out. " Yea and I heard you. I tried to say something but there was like a woman there keeping me from doing anything." Emma explained, " What did the woman say?" Alijah asked curiously. " That I was apart of something bigger and I saw a monster thing like a blob in a rocket, and she was saying something about 'The Radiant Rhenium' I don't know" Emma continued to explain, "Hey Alijah thank you for being there for me" Emma began to cry " I was always so rude to you and yet your still here being too kind to me". Alijah had never seen Emma cry or had this long of a conversation with her or any girl so he had plotted his words carefully. " Well you know, anything for my friends" oof that's sounds like a dumb thing to say. "Friend?" Emma began to cry more. Alijah pulled over and they got out. "This is not my house," Emma said "Yea, I know this is where I come to just think" Emma got out and looked. "This is a pretty view". Alijah thought about what Emma said and ' apart or something bigger' just sounded too important to let go of, so what he did change everything. He began to run to the edge of the rails where there was like a 500 ft drop ounce Emma caught up with him he leaned over and fell. "ALIJAH" Emma yelled and then without thinking she jumped and she was going faster than him for some reason when they were next to each other she began to glow and she hugged him and continued to fall. THUD! they both survived and Emma was still glowing
