Dream!

Stop!

Please..

M O N S T E R .

I woke up in a cold sweat. It feels like I just had the worst nightmare imaginable, yet I can't recall anything. I had woken up before the boys and the sun appeared to be rising.

After a while of calming myself down I leant my back to a tree, noticing Moki waking up. "Hey Moki.." I tiredly pet her as she looked at me questionably. "I'm scared. I don't want my father to die.." I let out a sigh as I looked up at my feline friend. She leant against my leg, making me smile softly.
"He won't die." I heard the familiar sound of Dreams voice from beside me. "Dream! Are we getting to the Kingdom of the North today?" I look up at the masked man, tilting my head slightly when I asked. "We should be getting there sometime today or tonight." The morning sun light shot through the leafs and hit his worn out mask, creating a nice scenic affect. It was peaceful and quiet for a while. "Dream?" He hummed in response. "Why do you.. Wear that mask?" He seemed to be deep in thought at this question, until he leant towards me. "C'mere princess.." I leant in also, our faces now inches apart. This made me flustered, as the memories of how close he had been in the past started flooding my mind, as if they were haunting me. "I'm incredibly.." His voice turned into a hushed whisper as he leant in closer, my nose almost touching his mask. My eyes shining in anticipation as I nod my head slowly.

"...Ugly."

I was silent for a moment until I quickly leant back, my cheeks now a flushed pink. "Huh?!" Dream let out a laugh, wiping an imaginary tear from the eye of his mask. "I'm just super ugly! Absolutely disgusting!" He shrugged his shoulders smugly, still chuckling. I let out a sigh, my blush starting to subside. "Whatever Dream." I shook my head and stood up, Moki joining me on my shoulders. I reached my hand out to Dream who was now looking up at me.

|Dream|

I looked at (Y/n)'s hand. It looked soft and warm. If I were being honest I did have feelings towards the princess, but I'm sure it would never work out. She was just so beautiful and cute.. Not to mention she's a princess and I'm a wanted street rat.
"I'm waiting Dream.." I gazed up at her impatient face, just now making me realise that I had just been sat here thinking to myself for a while. I chuckle and grab her hand. She tried her best to yank me up but It wasn't very affective. Eventually we were both stood beside one another and conveniently Nick and George started to wake up. "Cmon boys! One way street to the Kingdom of North!" Nick and George stood up and grabbed their swords. "Aren't you gonna train her first?" Nick asked me, making me confused. Giving off my best puzzled expression through my mask, which ended up being only tilting my head, he sighed and explained. "She has a bow for a reason. It's not all that useful if she can't use it!" (Y/n) laughed at this and gave off a confident glow. "How hard can it be?"

|(Y/n)|

"This is so hard.." I had been practicing shooting trees for about an hour now, my fingers and arms began to ache. This is way harder than I thought it would be.. Nick was now leaning against a tree, tossing an apple up and down. George was sat on the grass playing with Moki and Dream just stood watching me struggle. I sighed and once again got into my stance. I need to know how to shoot arrows. We will be on our way as soon as I do!
"Hey, you're shaking." Dreams voice could be heard from behind me. I turn my head to see him walk over to me. "I'm not all that familiar with bows but you should stand more like.." He grabbed my arms gently, moving them into a straighter position. I could feel his head shift to my shoulder as he used his leg to shuffle mine into a better position. "You should always keep your eyes just above your arrow.." His whisper sent shivers down my spine. I quickly started to be flustered but tried my best to keep my focus. "Now shoot." I took a slow breath in as Dream let go of me. I closed my eyes and felt the gentle wind hit my face. I slowly opened my eyes and let the arrow fly through the air.

"You did it!" Dream yelled happily. I opened my eyes wide to see that the arrow hit the tree a lot smoother than the other times. It of course wasn't perfect but it was a big improvement. I smiled wide and started running around, energy coursing through my veins. Faint congratulations from the boys could be heard behind my laughs of joy. After running around for a while I found myself jumping into Dreams arms, engulfing him in a hug.
"Dream! Thank you!" He stiffly held me in his arms for a second, but quickly laughed and started spinning us around.

We began walking through the forest after some more target practice. "Who do you think wants to become the new King?" George asked. Everyone was silent for a moment. "I mean we might not even know this person.." Nick replied. I picked up a stick and started running it along the trees that we passed, humming to myself. "Well, whoever it is will get feel the wrath of!- uhm.." I turned to the boys, thinking for a moment. "Is there anything you guys are called? Like a group name?" The boys all looked at each other, shrugging their shoulders and mumbling. "Not really?" George replied, more like a question rather than an answer. I hummed in response, taking a moment to think about it. "What about... the DreamTeam!" The group paused for a moment, but started to chuckle not long after. "The DreamTeam it is!" Dream confirmed.
