Who would have thought that this was how I was going to die? But, somehow, the thought of dying, knowing that I was saving somebody I loved, was oddly comforting. He stalked closer and closer to me, his lip curled up, a snarl escaping through his clenched teeth. I closed my eyes. It would all be over soon. I smiled, because everyone would be safe, even if I wouldn't be. I felt at peace, even when I felt his teeth tear into my neck.
