One thing that happens when you agree to go shopping with two of your crazy best friends, is they shop until you drop. Literally. I thought my mom would actually bring some sense into them, but no, she does the complete opposite. She encourages them to continue shopping no matter how tired my feet are or how loudly I complained. Shopping isn't my greatest hobby. I'll go whenever I need a new shirt or dress for a party, but I won't drop everything just because someone mentions it.

"Hurry up, Clover! If you want to make it to the seven o'clock movie tonight, then move faster!" Cassie scolds me.

"Well, I'm sorry! Someone woke me up at nine in the morning and dragged me out of bed," I roll my eyes.

"Don't drag me into this," My mom gives me a look.

Lela smiles, "Yeah, your mom is the sweetest."

I scoff, "Oh please. Who makes me wake up at nine and then make me shop till five o'clock in the afternoon?"

"Hey, we are going to get food right now." Cassie tells me.

"We'll hurry up then," I walk faster than them.

They crack up laughing and drag their bags with them behind me. The food court is in the middle of the mall here in Jacksonville. Even though it has to be far away from any of the stores my friends like, the food is amazing.

It's one of the reasons why I actually agree to go shopping. Just to go to the food court and devour the food they serve. Lela enjoys the food too, while Cassie thinks it's unsanitary food, kind of like McDonalds. Since it's a food court, there are many stores with a variety of food. My personal favorite food they have is the pizza store, Italian Pizza. Yes, it's a cliche name, but the owner, Steve, always gives me a free chocolate chip cookie.

My dad had went to high school with his son, who unfortunately, died of cancer. Steve looks old for his age, so he kind of is my third grandpa. One of my grandfather's had gone crazy while the other one is pretty cool. I don't get to see my grandparents, nor any of my cousins, aunts or uncles that much. When I do, it always goes two ways. Great or terrible. Last time I saw my mom's parents, they tried burning the house done. Luckily, we got out on time before the fire could actually burn us.

"Finally, I'm starving." Lela tells me.

"Your starving? What about me who had literally no breakfast?" I question her.

"You had a granola bar before we came her," My mom says.

Cassie and Lela giggle as I walk away towards Steve's part of the court. I see there is a small line, so I stand patiently. I've been here so many times, workers know my usual. I glance around the food court looking at all the signs. We are lucky the government allowed us to keep the food court. A few years ago, a debate happened whether or not we should be able to have a food court. A bunch of protests rose up so they let us keep it.

Finally, the line shortens and I reach the front.

"Hello, welcome to Italian Pizza, what can I get for you?" The cashier person greets.

I glance up and say, "Three slices of cheese pizza with one breadstick."

"You're forgetting your manners-Hey! Your the girl from the beach yesterday!" He exclaims.

"Huh, your the guy who threw a football at me!" I gasp sarcastically.

"Hey, I said I was sorry," Diego retorts.

"Whatever, where's Steve?" I ask.

"He has his day off," Diego chuckles. "You know he is too old for you right?"
