💿- 'If you want it, oh. You can have it. If you need it. We can make it, oh'

Zoe woke up from her slumber and quickly got changed into her outfit and met Stan downstairs.

Stan was driving to school with Zoe in the car. When all of a sudden he stopped.

'What are you doing?' Zoe whispered.

'Shhh.' Stan shushed the girl.

'Hey, Syd!' Stan yelled.

'Hi Syd!' Zoe exclaimed.

'Hey.' Syd said with no emotion.

Stan went to roll down his window but, it took him about 2 minutes to do it. Considering how old that car was.

Syd awkwardly stared at the boy while Stan just smiled.

'Hey.' Stan greeted. Zoe rolled her eyes. We're going to be late. Zoe thought.

'You goin' to school?' Stan awkwardly asked.

Syd nodded her head, 'Yup.'

'Yeah, me too.' Stan said.

'I think what my brother is trying to ask is if you want a ride to school.' Zoe explained for her brother.

Stan just glared at her.

'Yeah. Sure.' Syd said.

The three teenagers rode to school softly singing the songs on the radio.

'Can you believe some people are already asking dates to homecoming?' Stan asked the short haired girl.

'So stupid. It's so far away.' Syd said.

Zoe and Stan both laughed at that.

'Yeah. Totally. Super far.' Stan said.

Ok. now Stan is just acting weird. I mean he always is but, he's seems nervous around Syd. Maybe he's trying to ask her to the dance.  Zoe thought.

'Like ... like a whole week.' Stan laughed awkwardly.

The car fell silent with just the music playing in the background.

Dina, Syd, and Zoe were in the girls locker room after gym class.

'Well, I hate to ask, but.... can you give me a ride after school?' Syd asked Dina.

'My mom just wants me to go grocery shopping again. I know it's lame but-'

'No, no, no, Syd. I swear to God, I would.' Dina said.

'I sort of promised Brad I would go to the pep rally with him. So . . .' Dina trailed off.

I knew it. Zoe thought. She was really starting to hate their relationship.

'But isn't the pep rally for people with like--'

'People like what, Zoe?' Dina asked.

'People with, you know. . . pep.' Zoe said, making awkward jazz hands.

'I know it's stupid, but it's a pretty big game, you know?' Dina asked.

'You're going to the game too?' Syd asked, hurt evident in her tone.

'Yeah. Do you two wanna go?' Dina asked.

'Sorry. I. . .' Syd trailed off.

'What?' Dina asked.
