i entered the mansion with ease as i tried my best not to step on the guards that were currently unconscious on the ground. i laughed at how weak this man's people were & i honestly thought he'll hire better guards since his ass was loaded with tons of money. guess he only spent a quarter on these fat jerks.

i walked past the garden and even though it was already dark, the colours of the flowers were really bright for some reason. i bet these are all fake because how can real flowers glow in the dark? aish never mind enough of the mini garden tour, time to steal that ruby.

the door opened with a creak sound and i was welcomed by a glamorous and fancy empty space. i'm not that classy so i don't really know what to call it i guess. i tiptoed my way in and let me tell you, this place is like a freaking ZOO. i thought it'll be more like a museum, but nono. there are literally LIVING ZEBRAS IN THEIR LIVING ROOM. i mean who does that? this guy apparently. not me.

i remembered professor park telling me that the ruby should be at the third floor, last room on the left and someone would be assisting me in this. i then proceeded to walked up the staircase, which by the way, looked as if it was the stairway to heaven. it's that high, trust me.

the moment i reached the third level, i texted prof park to ask him about the sidekick. sadly, there was no reply. so, i decided to take things into my own hands. i turned left and walked along the long corridor, admiring the different paintings on the wall. at the bottom of each artwork, there was a name.

all of them had the label "jane", maybe that liked the artist a lot, though i don't get why all were labelled as her name. they could've just pasted a huge sign on top that says "jane" but, im not gonna judge. i just shrugged it off and continued my way till i reached the last room. i made sure to open it slowly, not wanting to wake up the other people in this place.

the moment i opened the door, i was met with a pair of cat-like eyes. they looked so familiar, yet so immersing. i'm guessing she's my sidekick? but it was already 1am in the morning. oh wait i forgot, it's 1am back in brisbane. and it's only 12am here... well that explains why the lights were still on in the house.

she was dressed in a pair of cute flamingo pyjamas with a pair of bunny slippers, siting on the chair while writing some information i think? i think prof park gave my sidekick the wrong information... we're not having a pjs party, we're on an actual mission.

"hi, i suppose you're here to help me get the ruby, right?"

"i'm sorry but there's no ruby here."

"don't lie to me missy. what's your name?"

"jane. jennie ruby jane."
