I was rushing towards the train cause after all it was the last one I would find here before my time to attend the meeting ends. And luckily I got onto it.
Mumbai, the metro city where people come to make a living for them, where life seems easy, which is known as the city of dreams; made me meet him again. But things weren't same this time. I plugged in my earphones and thought of the morning's incident.
Flashbacks
He was in the city for a business meeting. All of sudden I found him standing at some distance from my office. I kept staring at him until he looked at me.
"Hey" he said waving his hand.
I came out of my thoughts and looked at him. He signalled me to come to the place he was standing."Hey" I chirped as I neared to the place.
"How're you?" He asked being the person he was, who cared for everyone.
"Good. What about you?" I said with a small and nervous smile playing on my lips.
"Great." He said back and we stand there in complete silence until he said "Would you like to have a coffee with me?"
"Sure" I said with a confident smile cause now I can't let him know that I am uncomfortable and I already knew he sensed the uncomfortableness.
We walked to the nearest cafe. He ordered an espresso for himself and cappuccino for me before I could say.
He knew it.
"You still remember" I said with a sad smile playing on my lips.
"I never forgot in the first place. Mondays, you will go with a cappuccino in the morning" He said making me know that he still remembers every small detail about me.
I was glad that he still remembered. As I heard it from him, there was something different, a different sensation in my stomach, maybe that's how butterflies in the stomach flatter.
We started talking about the old times. It was always amazing to talk to him. He never let me feel that I never belonged to him.
All those smiles I used to have because of him were back on my face. It was just a mere mention of him to make me smile but today he was in front of me, talking to me as we used to. I felt like, I felt like I got him back.
"Do you remember Sahil's incident?" He asked me making me come out of my thoughts.
"Which one?" I asked as he mentioned his enemies name.
Gosh! He hated him. Sahil and Manav, these two were the worst of enemies one can know. And there fights. They were funny but full of revenge and hurt and pain as well.
"That near the lake" he said
"Where you dropped him into the water for snatching the chocolate which you brought for me!" I said laughing out cause that was the most funniest and dumbest thing he did.
Funniest cause he legit pushed him in the water in such way none can imagine. And dumbest, Dumbest cause Sahil wasn't the one who snatched his chocolate. It was us, Me and Diya, who hid that chocolate. And when he got to know that, he was angry from me for a whole day cause after all he had to apologise Sahil for something happened because of me.
"Yeah, I was so dumb but that all happened because of you" He said making an angry pout on his face.
"But it was damn funny" I said and He too burst into laughter.
"It indeed was" he said controlling his laughter. He smiled looking at me and unknowingly I did the same. I again lost myself in his that smile. It reminded me of that time when we first met. Everything was so different yet it felt the same with him. He gave me the feeling of being home but...
I adored him.
