I couldn't stop thinking about my Mother, and how she could rot to death in a cell, alone, in wolf form. And all because my Granny will not let me get hurt, Mary wants to go too. But I do think of myself as a very good persuader. Maybe I should try to persuade her as hard as I can.

I walked to the kitchen where Mary and Granny were washing dishes they turned around and looked at me. "Granny?" I asked trying to push tears out of my eyes. I guess if I start crying about my mother maybe she would hit a soft spot. "I need to save my Mom, please I'll do anything, she's your daughter!" I started to really cry. Granny sighed, yes! I think that she is thinking about it!

"Red, I know, you don't have to tell me, I would like to save her too. But we can't." She said softly. I went over to sit on the couch, I looked down and studied my shoes.

"Are you still able to, you know, transform?" I asked.

"Yes, Red but I know how to control it, even without the hood on. After twenty years of it, I am experienced." I was surprised. She could control that thing? "But we can't go, if that's why your asking." Of course! Nothing will ever change her mind! It's her daughter!

        "Granny, why ca-"

"No, Red! We are not going! We are not getting stuck in that hell with everybody else in our fam-" She cut me off. Wow, I never heard her like that. What does she mean by 'everybody else in our family.'

"Sorry. What do you mean by everybody else in our family?" I asked

She sighed and said, "Red this happens to all of us, but only some of us get out." It looked like she dazed off in a flashback. That sent chills through my body in one mili-second all through. "You see, your mother, my sister, my mother, her grandmother, and her sister never got out." She said it like the time when we went camping and she told me that scary story.

        "Are...are they-"

"No, us wolves are ever lasting, the only thing that will bring us down forever is a silver bullet to the kidney." She cut Mary off, I am guessing that Granny knew she was going to say dead. Wait, to the Kidney? I always thought it was the heart. Wow, I am everlasting? Cool!

"Look I am not going to stop thinking about it, and I am never, ever, ever going to give up asking."
