Contemptuous (H.S)

Chapter 9

"You scream someone dies" the deep voice whispered. I roll my eyes and remove the person's hand from my mouth and turned around.

"Really" I cross my arms.

"What, It was funny"

"Louis you can't just text me and tell me to meet you in my room then put your hand around my mouth and tell me "you scream you die" it's not funny" I roll my eyes again and walk over to sit on my bed. "How did you even get my number anyway?" I then question.

"Oh me and the others were going through Liam's phone and saw your number" He states and walked over to sit next to me.

"So is there a reason you texted me?" I ask.

"Well me and guys were wondering if you wanted to-" Louis gets cut off by the sound of my phone. I grab my phone and see a text from Jacob.

Jacob

J: Meet me outside in the back.

A: Why?

J: We need to talk.

J: Please.

A: Fine I'll be down in a minute.

"Sorry I have to go" I turn to Louis.

"No problem, I'll see you later" He says with a smile. I nod in return and walk out the room and down the hall.

I make it down the stairs and see Jacob standing near the pool through the window. I take a breath and walk towards the door opening it making Jacob turn around.

"Hi-"

"What do you want Jacob" I cut to the chase.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I never meant to hurt you the way I did" He says with sorrow and puts his head down. He takes a breath and looks back up and takes a step forward. "I never said this before but, I love you Alex" he adds.

I stand frozen while looking at him dumbfounded. He never said those three words before. I mean I've said them to him but he has never said it back.

"Jacob" I shake my head in rejection. "If you loved me you wouldn't have cheated on me" I state in seriousness.

"I know but I mean it I do love you. If you give me a second chance I can prove it to you"

"Jacob I can't give you another chance" I state and cross my arms.

"Come on, don't you love me?" He asks. I look at him trying to find the answer.

"No" is all that came out.

"What?"

"I'm sorry but I don't love you" I say quietly.

"Alex baby, I said I was sorry"

"Sorry doesn't fix everything Jacob" I state.

"Alex-"

"I think you should go" I cut him off again. He doesn't say anything in return instead he sighs  and turns around and slowly walks away leaving me alone.
