When you met

You and your friends and your service dog are at a local event for celebrating your newest success as a Author in Nashville Tennessee.

You were so excited and was having so much fun. Then you lay your eyes on a familiar face. Keith urban.
You had been a fan of his for a long long time. You knew almost everything about him.

That's part of the reason you moved to Nashville was because of him.

You loved his music so much and had wanted to meet him.

You see him talking to his manager who you'd talked to once about this particular event and you'd hoped he'd talk to Keith about coming and sure enough they'd both showed.

Awhile later.
Keith's manager makes his way over to you to say hi and congratulate you on your recent success. You thank him.

"How's Keith been doing?" You ask.

"Not so good" his manager replies. "He recently broke up with that girl Lauren Siegel who he was planning on marrying." He says. You nod. You look over at Keith he looks tired and sickly.

You frown you had know about his struggles with mental illness and addiction for a long long while.

You were still a loyal fan regardless as you suffered from your own mental illnesses and knew how bad it felt. "Can I go see him?" You ask. His manager nods
yeah he's ok you can go say hi."

You nod and thank him. You head over to where Keith is now standing alone.

Your service dog at your side. You go over and say hi.
Keith looks up at you. "Hello you must be Y/N" he says smiling.
You blush and smile. "Yes I am" you say.
"Well I loved the book and I loved the parts that mentioned me or my songs. Did you do that on purpose?" He asks.

"Maybe" you say smirking.

He smiles. " don't worry I liked it. Thanks for inviting me I'm having a great time." He says.

"Good I'm glad you came. I love your music and you've helped me through a lot so." You tell him.

He looks at you "thank you. Now who's the dog?" He asks pointing to the dog sitting calmly next to you. "Oh yes I almost forget this is my service dog Harper.
You tell him.

"She's a beautiful dog. I had a few German shepherds growing up." He says "That's so cool" you say.

You and Keith spend the rest of the event with each other talking and laughing together. When it's time to go.

Keith hugs you tight then gives Harper a pet on the head. "Thank you Y/N I had a wonderful time maybe we can hang out again?" He asks unsure you'll say yes.

"Of course" you say. You take his phone for a second and add your contact to his phone.
He takes his phone and smiles.

"Thank you. Have a good night." He says then leaves with his manager.

You return to your friend group and they pepper you with questions about meeting your idol and all that.

You answer them and you all joke about how you might end up with him.

You don't believe it but you have no idea that this was just the beginning of the journey of a lifetime.
