He goes to rehab

Six months after your wedding. A few weeks before The release of Love, Pain, and the whole crazy thing.

You were away from Keith at a dog training seminar a few states away. He hadn't been feeling well mentally but he'd promise you he'd take care of himself and be safe.

Just as you were getting settled into your hotel for the evening you get a call from Keith's manager Gary Borman.

"Hey Y/N Keith's not doing so good he's checking himself into rehab as we speak. I know your busy but he's not doing so good."

"Ok I'm coming it's a huge deal Gary I need to be there for him. I tried to help and he's finally taking the steps he needs to. I'll be on the first flight home." You say to Gary.
"Good he'll appreciate it hopefully he'll be able to see you." He says.
"I hope so too. I'll call you later. Thanks for letting me know." You tell him.
"No problem Y/N" he says then you both hang up and you quickly pack up to return home.

Later as soon as you land back in Tennessee.
You quickly get back into your car and immediately drive to The Betty Ford center in Nashville. You rush inside and get Keith's room number and the ok to see him.
Once you reach the room. He's sitting on his bed looking miserable.

As soon as he sees you he gets up and runs into your embrace immediately bursting into tears. "I'm so sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." He wails as you hold him against you. "Shhh it's ok you need to get better."
you tell him. "this is good for you. I'll visit you and Check in with the nurses, doctors, psychologists. To make sure your ok." You tell him.

He nods and stays in your embrace.
You hold him tight to you until a nurse comes to take him to get looked over by a doctor.
You give him a final squeeze and a kiss for good luck. Then you head home.

After a long long 90 days in rehab he was ready to come home.
Then he got ready and got back to doing what he loved. Touring and meeting fans and promoting the new album. He never thought about relapse ever again after that.
