The kids didn't ask to hear the rest of the story for two weeks now. So I didn't bother to bring it up they've been a bit upset since I last told them about dinner with Char and my parents. And I think it's time to talk to them about it.
"Hey guys can you come in here for a second." They had just came home from school and I just wanted to make them feel better
They both came walking in "yes dad" said Julian
"Can I just tell you guys what happened after your mother left dinner."
"Dad I'm not really up for it I'm tired." Justin said
"Please it'll only take a minute."
"Fine." They both said

I hopped into my car after doing a long thinking process I headed straight for Chars house. After fifteen minutes I pulled up at her house and ran to the door constantly knocking "Char it's me Lance I'm really sorry about what happened will you please talk to me."
Char opened up the door "What do you have to say Lance that you were brought up by racist, I tried to be respectful because it is your mother but that lady is impossible."
"Regardless of my mothers upbringing that's her not me I'm different from her I see nothing wrong with your beautiful chocolate skin I care very deeply for you and would hate to loose you over something so silly and I would love for you to come back and to get a sincere apology from my parents."
"That's very sweet Lance but I just don't know."
"Please it will only take a minute and I'll drive you back here."
She sighed and went into the car I closed the door and went into the car as well. We drove in a very peaceful silence on the way back I pulled up to my front gate slowly driving in. "Could you wait right here for a quick second." I got out the car running up my steps walking into the house both my dad and mom say at the dinning room table in a deep convo "Mom Dad I brought her back here so you guys can give her an apology what you said was really wrong especially because I already expressed to you guys how much she means to me I wanna marry her some day and have beautiful mixed children with her and if you guys can't respect that then I'll pack my things and you'll never see me again." They both stared at me very shocked
"Bring her in." My mom sighed
I smiled walking back to the car, approaching the car I opened Chars door I held out my hand and she grabbed it getting out the car. We walked up the steps and entered the house my parents stood there as we approached them my dad cleared his throat before speaking "Char I wanna apologize from the bottom of my heart what happen here today was unacceptable and I am very sorry for that I hope we can get past this." Char smiled
"thank you very much sir."
My dad coughed "honey." My mother looked at him and rolled her eyes
She then turned to Char " Char I wanna apologize to what I said before I shouldn't have said those words and I don't want you thinking I'm some biggot I'm really not my Bestfriend aunt has black friends who I think are very pleasant so again I'm sorry you obviously mean a lot to my son so I would like for things to be settled."
Char gave her this stare but I quickly tapped her and Char spoke up "thank you very much apology accepted."
"well now since things are good would you guys wanna start over with dinner." My dad asked
"Thanks for the offer but it's gotten really late I must get home."
We all nodded and we left the house hopping into the car for me to take her home. We both jumped into the car I started the car getting onto the rode "that's was really big of your parents." Char said
"Well you know they really aren't that bad."
I pulled up onto her street "I have a little confession." She said making me look her way
"Spill it." I said arriving in front of her house
"I kinda got out of the car when you told me to stay put I heard what you said to your parents." I felt embarrassed
"Oh."
"I thought that was really sweet what you said and I would like that very much one day." She said looking into my eyes we were both drawn together and our lips connected
After a couple minutes she broke the kiss and whipped her lipstick off my lips with her hand she then kissed my cheek and got out the car "bye Lance." She closed the door and Walked into the house
"I love you Char."

Julian sat there looking at me smiling
"You made mommy happy again."
"Yea I made her happy again."
"Thanks for telling us this dad." Justin said Julian and Justin both came and hugged me
"Just wanted to cheer my boys up." They both smiled and sat on the couch with me where we watched a movie.
