Before I start I do not own the song nor do I own the marble hornets characters! Also this is the first Jay x Tim fanfic I've ever written but I plan to write more. I personally adore this ship! And I can see why people ship this. I've always thought they would be perfect for each other. Sorry if you don't like my choice in the person I ship Tim with. Anyways enjoy!

⚠️Spoilers! Entry 80⚠️

Pairing: Jay x Tim

Setting: Angst. After Jay dies.

Trigger warning: character death!

We stay up every night
We fade away
But now you're living in a dream
I'm torn apart from the one I love

Tim leaned his head down on the counter of his house. How did it lead to this? Why did any of this happen? Hoodie had indirectly led Jay to his death, leaving Tim alone. He sighed as his mind would sometimes wonder to the times when Jay was still there.

--

Tim was heading to the apartment where Jay was staying. Jay had already gathered his things and sat at the edge of the bed waiting for Tim to arrive so they could leave. As Jay was finishing putting his tripod away, his phone rang. He pulled out his phone putting it on speaker.

"Yeah?"

"I'm on my way? What room are you in?"

"Room 59."

"Alright. Don't go anywhere. " Jay paused for a second then responded.

"I won't. " He then hung up and got the rest of his stuff gathered around as he waited.

A few minutes later there was a couple knocks on the door. Jay grabbed his camera and answered it.

"Where's your car?"

"It's uh it's out back. Hid it from the front of the room." Jay shut the door and walked to his bed to grab his belongings.

"Got everything?" Tim asked.

"Yeah I don't have much. Here take this." Jay said walking towards the door handing Tim the chest mounted camera as they headed out the door.

"So I'm just gonna follow you then?" Tim asked.

"I think that's the safest thing to do..."

--

Jay's words faded in his head. The safest thing to do... Tim slammed his fist against the table, tears streaming down his cheeks. Why the hell didn't they just drive out of state? Forget about hunting Alex, started new, maybe they could have had a normal relationship with Jay if they just would have stopped chasing after tall faceless creatures in the woods! Now all Jay was, was a memory in Tim's depressed sorrowful mind while he sat watching out his kitchen window wondering when Alex was gonna show up and kill him.

Oh, my baby, where have you gone?
You know I'm sending angels to watch you sleep
'Cause I'm always on the run

Tims health was starting to get worse the more he sat day by day by the window not eating or drinking anything. He wondered what happened to Jay's body. He found his camera but not a trace of Jay's body. He couldn't even give him a proper burial that he deserved. Tim hadn't been able to sleep due to this. He couldn't put his own lover to rest. Tim got up and decided to watch a past entry they uploaded just to hear Jays voice once more.

--

It had been days since they had left the hotel Jay was at and they have been driving non stop. Until they pulled over at a rest stop to finally take a break. Jay walked around as Tim decided to look around finding a vending machine. Jay was looking around noticing they were close to their destination when Tim walked over to a picnic bench.
