Jay stared at the floor as tears dripped down his face. Tim and Jay got into another argument in their small hotel room. But surprisingly it wasn't because Jay had lied or because he posted his medical records on YouTube. It was something more caring.

Just that night they had gotten something to eat at a local fast food place. The conversation came up as nothing but normal until Tim noticed Jays health was getting worse.

I have to leave. Its for your own safety. Tim thought as he finished his food and listened to Jay ramble on about his favorite animals and flowers and what it would be like to just be normal. That's what started the argument, what started the crying and the slamming of doors.

"Jay we can't keep going like this!" Tim said making Jay look at Tim with a funny look.

"What are you talking about?" Jay asked.

"Your getting worse Jay. You've gotten worse ever since I've started helping you Jay!"

"No I'm not!" Jay was upset. He knew his health was getting worse. They barely slept good, and they only ate gas station meals and occasionally fast food. On top of that Jay would zone out.

"Yes you are. And we both know it Jay! And I can't stay here and watch it get worse!" Tim spoke. He hated it. He didn't want to abandon Jay but he didn't want Jay to get any worse than he already was.

"Are you saying what I think your saying?" Jay asked his voice slightly cracking.

"Jay.... I have to leave. It will keep you safe!" Tim said holding his bag of stuff and turning to the door.

"Wait!" Jay called. Tim swallowed the lump in his throat and held his hand on the door handle facing the door.

"What is it Jay...?" Tim asked. Don't make this harder than it already is.... Tim thought.

"I.... How can you leave after everything we shared. Two years of traveling together. Sharing beds when its necessary.... I guess maybe...." Jays voice faded as he felt tears well in his eyes.

"Spill it out Jay..." Tim spoke as he started to open the door.

"I guess I'm used to being someone you maybe loved...." If leaving didn't make Tims heart twist harshly those words surely twisted it.

Tim froze. He didn't want to leave Jay. They had just started a relationship and yesterday they had shared their first real kiss under a starlit sky. I was getting used to being someone you loved too jay.... He thought as he walked out the door without another word.

{A month later.}

Jay sat on the motel bed. Alone again. He thought. He put his head in his hands. I ran Alex off and now Tim.... His mind wondered with his head in his hands. Its been a month since Tim lift. While he had gotten better he kind of missed the dangerous times spent with Tim. Maybe it was crazy to miss the danger but it wasn't so much that it was the times that him and Tim spent together.

Jay looked at the clock. 3:30 in the morning. He threw his body back on the bed staring at the ceiling. I wonder if I cross your mind like you cross mine. I wonder if you even miss me.... You probably moved on. Jay sighed and sat up again. He walked into the bathroom and threw some cold water on his face. He walked back out and decided maybe he could edit another video. He went on YouTube when he saw a video in his recommendations.

Upon seeing the video, his curiosity getting the best of him, he looked at the title. For my little blue bird... Jay squinted his eyes at the screen but clicked the video.

Hello everyone. Some of you may recognize me from working with Jay. Its been a while since I've heard from him. And it worries me sometimes. I distanced myself from him to keep him safer from everything. I think it worked as its been quiet on his end. Or I think it has. Anyways I'm recording this message to say. Jay I'm... I'm sorry for a month ago.... Leaving you hurt and alone in that hotel room. I'm sorry I... I abandoned you.... I don't even know if you'll see this or if your even alive right now. I just miss you so much and I'm losing my mind without you right now.... My life has been a wreck with you gone... If you see this.... I'll be at my home if you ever want to come and see me....

Jay closed YouTube. So Tim missed me and wants to see me again.... He thought. He wiped his eyes from any tears and smiled. He packed his stuff and put on his shoes and sweater. Did he care that it was now 4 in the morning? No. He just wanted to see Tim again.

Jay threw his bag of stuff into the trunk of his car and jumped in the driver seat buckling himself up. He made sure everything was working correctly as he pulled out of the hotel parking lot and onto the road leading to Tim.

Jay was nervous. Would he still love me? Would he still want to be with me? Jay thought as he drove off the exit to Tims home. After a little bit more driving Jay managed to finally pull into Tims driveway.

Jay put the car in park and stepped out. He walked up to the door. He was hesitant at first until he finally just decided to knock. He didn't know if he would be up at this time. Chances are Tim probably was based on the video Tim looked like he was having a hard time sleeping.

After five knocks a groggy sleepy voice called out from the living room.

"Who is it?" The familiar voice of Tim made Jays heart race.

"Its Jay." He spoke. It was quiet until he heard the locks on the other side being unlocked and the door being thrown open.

"Jay?! What are you doing here at 4 in the morning?!" Tims voice was filled with so much emotion. Happiness, sadness, confusion.

"I saw your video Tim...." Jay spoke looking at Tim. Tim stayed silent.

"I missed you..." Jay spoke again and before he could continue anymore Tim pulled Jay into a bear hug, clinging to his jacket and burying his face in his chest. Jay could feel Tim shaking from crying.

"I missed you too... I'm so sorry for leaving you alone..." Tim spoke in between sobs. Jay, being taller, ran his hands through Tims hair. Jay always used to do this when Tim was upset about something or had a nightmare. Jay placed a small gentle kiss on the top of his head and hugged Tim tighter.

"It's okay Tim..." Jay reassured. Tim looked up at Jay and Jay looked back at Tim and for a moment time seemed to stop and it was just them. Jay leaned down and pressed a soft kiss on Tims lips. It was sweet but lasted for a few minutes.

When they pulled away, Jay smiled.

"Lets stay together for now on..." Tim said. Jay nodded as Tim lead Jay into his house and into his bedroom. The rest of the night was nothing but cuddles, peaceful sleep and no nightmares.
