I entered the room and immediately regretted it. There was a stench of metal in the air.

As my eyes scanned the room, the first thing I noticed was the mess. Clothes were lying everywhere and the wardrobe doors were wide open.

Quickly I glanced up at the bed. My heart was pounding in my chest. I felt dizzy and I grabbed at the desk, trying to stabilise myself.

She had finally done it. After all these years, all the pain and suffering. She had done it.

I let out a high-pitched scream before doubling over and falling to the ground.

Weakly, I looked up again at the bed. At the body lying on the bed. The body of my best friend and sister. The now lifeless corpse.

A pool of blood was gathering under the bed and I could hear the constant 'drip'. It was like a lullaby, sending me to sleep almost instantly.

Maybe this was a dream, maybe everything would be alright.
