A/N: this was something I put together very quickly. I may go back and edit later but for now here it is. I also might add a part 2 sometime later on, it just depends on if I can figure out where to go with it. Anyways, I hope you guys like it.

The way to Northrend was tedious.

The cold climate and harsh winds didn't help the fact that you were not prepared for the journey.

Arthas has been your driving force. You had begged him not to do this and yet here you were.

Unlike Jaina, you reluctantly followed him into Stratholm. You choose to follow the man you loved, even against the direction of your teacher.

It her would be disappointed.

But his name was a distant memory now too. Art has had destroyed everything you loved and you couldn't help but feel it was your fault too.

That was why you were here.

You had to talk to him. You had to convince him this wasn't right. It was madness. He was chasing false hope and you had finally seen it.

Pulling your cloak tighter you stepped out into the harsh wind. It was snowing and the inn keeper had warned you about the storm that would be moving through soon.

"Strange weather we've been 'aving lately...storms a brewin'." You could recall the wrinkles that scrunched up on her exhausted face. "Best not stay out too long. New comers don't survive in weather like that you know..."

Despite her warning you had a desperate matter to see to. You kept the warning in mind however, hoping to find Arthas before it got too bad.

You paid for a horse and started off.

It didn't take long before your body felt the effects of the cold weather. You were bundled quite well but it didn't stop the piercing winds from chilling your bones. The wind picked up and the snow quickly began falling harder and thicker.

Dredging up the mountain, you continued, stopping only for a moment to call out to Arthas and try to listen for some kind of response.

Then, you noticed something ahead.

The snow was disturbed all around and there were patches stained red.

You swallowed, feeling a knot in your throat. There had been no sign of Arthas anywhere but someone lay on the ground, snow now beginning to dust over  the body.

"Hey!" You called out before dismounting the horse and walking over.

The body was huge, larger than any human. At first you thought it to be a draenei however you quickly realized you were wrong.

Large wings were attached to the figure and a strange green glow followed in sharp patterns down large, muscled arms.

You couldn't help but stare at the muscular body and when you reached out to touch it, it cold. You could hear him breathing and as you pulled the body over to face you, his eyes were covered with a cloth. You shook him, calling out to him a few mote times before you looked around.

"Arthas?!" You called out and waited but no answer.

As the snow picked up, you looked around, taking a few deep breaths before standing and pulling at both of the man's arms.

You couldn't just leave him there with the storm picking up but he was too heavy.

You pulled and pulled but still, you couldn't move him.

You've reached the end of published parts.
