The Descent of Liberty

                      It's past 4 o'clock in the EVEning. It's club time. I'm dragging my feet,dreading the people whose gonna greet me, I'm standing in front of the door. I looked through using x-ray vision. Good grief,there are many people than the other day behind. But it should be fine because my popularity level is on average,so that means they would greet me and go about their day. Breathe in,breathe out. Here we go. I opened the door and was greeted by none other than Eve. 

                 "Glad you came! And we need help too. Do you mind doing things that you did before? Helping out? We usually start party at 7. So,you're gonna hafta wait," Then what am I doing here? "Oh,come on. It's not that bad. Just help,or you can watch our rehearsals. We have enough people to work backstage today," Then,I'll watch. What are you guys doing for the play? "Romeo and Juliet. Hope it's not gonna flop so bad. You know actually,this year we put up a poll. Two foreign two local. And they choose this. Didn't think people like bad romance. But the crowd says and we d-" "Eve! Into your costume.NOW!" "I heard ya! Sorry,gotta dash. Sit down there and enjoy the show,"Yeah,sure.

              I sat a little on the back so I don't disturb observer crew and the teacher. The light dimmed and the huge curtains started to pull. Wow,that was fast. I wore my ring to prevent thoughts. I felt a hand on my shoulder,I jumped back what feels like a few yards. After I snapped back,I saw the person touching me sweatdrops. "I'm Takeshita Kin,Eve's understudy. You're her friend,right? Here's a script so you don't get lost," I nodded in thanks and flipped through it. "We followed the original script instead of the one Mr. Minegishi wrote because Eve believed that we must perform the authentic script to enchant the audience,whatever that means but I digress," Then she talked some more but I didn't really listen to her. The stage light centered. So,I leaned back and watched.

           The scenes goes by so fast. I'm not gonna lie,my eyes didn't really leave Eve. I think that's why people like her. She's actually really talented. And Romeo and Juliet are difficult to pull off these days because the current idea of courtship isn't actually matched with Romeo and Juliet. So, Akaashi is Romeo. Both of them made Romeo and Juliet's dynamic more believable. But I felt weird that my eyes automatically narrowed at Akaashi when he's in the same scene as Eve. That's weird. Takeshita have long left the seat besides me. I think she leaves because she's jealous of Eve. I mean who wouldn't? She almost like Rifuta,but this time only hate because adults hold tight onto grudge. And her thoughts are full of hate.She's not that great.  She's an arrogant bitch when it comes to plays. God,she's insufferable. My boyfriend even left me for her,who,in the end,rejected him.

           "What's here? A cup, closed in my true love's hand?Poison, I see, hath been his timeless end.O churl! drunk all, and left no friendly drop To help me after? I will kiss thy lips;Haply some poison yet doth hang on them,to make die with a restorative," She kissed Akaashi who's laying down,pretending to die "Thy lips are warm." "Lead, boy. Which way?"Another person said. " Yea, noise? then I'll be brief. O happy dagger!" She took the fake dagger from Akaashi's belt." This is thy sheath;" And then,the million dollar ending. "there rust, and let me die." And then she fell on Akaashi and died. Then,it's the other characters turn to mourn for Romeo and Juliet. The people left inside the room stood up and clapped. I just sat and clapped quietly. Eve and Akaashi stood back up "How's that,sir?"

         "You are always right,Miss Eve. Using the real one is a great decision. You are my savior," "You're welcome. Okay guys! We're gonna change back and partyyyy!" People cheered and rushed to get their job done. She chuckled and saw me. She waved at me and called for me to come to her. I groaned and went to her. When I reached the stage,she reached out her hand and said "Carry me,my loyal steed,"I'm not your horse."Shut up. You're ruining the moment," I groaned again and grabbed her. I put her down and picked her up again bridal style. "What are you doing to my girl?" Akaashi asked "Your girl? I'm sorry but you're not my boss and besides,he's my best friend," Best friend? "Hell yeah,anyway,get back to you soon,babe. And get the food from my bag. And then we party. Come now Kusuo," I winced because I carried her too long. Then I brought her to the changing room. " Wait here," I frowned and stood outside the room.
