1984, 31st of august

i woke up with the sun illuminating my room at eight in the morning. Yesterday was a rough night, i couldn't sleep thinking today i would finally see my friends again. They have been travelling all around europe, while i stayed here in this small town, with nothing to do. But today i will finally see them; i only have 2 friends but i couldn't ask for better.
Oh, by the way, im Alyssa.
"Alyssa c'mon wake up! today is the last day of our freedom before we start highschool!"
And that's my twin, Marie.
"C'mon! C'mon! Get up!" she says while she jumps in my bed.
"Can't you see im already awake! Leave me alone"i say while i rub my eyes.
"Fine fine, but mom says you have to be downstairs in 5" she says and leaves my room.
"ugh" i get out of my bed and take the first thing i see on my closet, a denim overalls and a green t-shirt.

"Alyssa! Breakfast is ready" "Coming mom!" i went downstairs and headed into the kitchen

"Alyssa! Breakfast is ready"
"Coming mom!" i went downstairs and headed into the kitchen. My mom was serving breakfast, while my dad and my siblings eated it.
"Are you excited for highschool girls" my dad asks.
"YES"
"NO"
Marie and i looked at each other weirdly while we eat breakfast.
My little sister, Caroline was painting on the table with her crayons. "Caroline leave the crayons and eat your breakfast" my mom told her. "i dont want to" she shouted. "Caroline warning number 1" my dad says. And she sticks her tongue out, while they argue the doorbell rings.
"I will go" i say, i get up and open the door.
My jaw dropped when i saw who was standing now in front of me.
"Olivia?!"
