It was 7:30 in the morning, I was watching at my reflection in front of the mirror, wearing a long white gown and a pair of white stilletos.
"Kindly part your lips slightly, I am going to put lipstick in your lips to finish this of,
miss Blakely." the make up artist said. After the last touch of my look, the make up artist packed her things up and left me in the room alone. Silence was hugging the atmosphere as the door shutted. I stared at my self in the mirror again, admiring the perfection of my look today.
'This is going to be a beautiful day, Blakely.' I said to myself, touching the diamond ring in my ring finger.
----------------------
I left the room and went to the white lambourgini that was parked outside. It was fully decorated with flowers which obviously made it a bridal car. I opened the door and saw my bestfriend inside.
"Goodness gracious, Blakely! You're slower than ever. We are almost late!" She told me. Frustration was evident in her face when she saw me and seconds later, her features softened and flashed her wide grin at me. "Get in the car. And by the way, you look so gorgeous right now. God! I am so excited!" she added.
"You are more gorgeous, Georgina." I complimented her, lightening up the tensed atmosphere inside the car. She smiled so sweetly, batting her eyes in front of me, as if she was some sort of a fairy in a fantasy movie. I bet she liked what I said based on her weird actions.
----------------------
We finally arrived at the church, it's now 8:01. The bells were already ringing, a sign that it was almost starting. Knowing the priest whose known for his "Time is Precious" statement, he would definitely start the wedding, with or without the bride.
"We are just in time, dear. Hurry up!" Georgina told me. We ran as fast as we could to reach the main door of the church where the people were already lining up.
"Everyone! Get ready. Go to your designated positions!" the event organizer shouted. All of us were getting ready and waited for our turn to enter the church.
--------------------
The wedding already started. The flowergirls entered the church first, following what they rehearsed days before this special day. It was going on smoothly and finally, It was my turn. The whole sorroundings slowmoed, flashes of cameras were blinding my sight but when I turned my gaze to the man in front of the altar, my line of vision cleared again.
I saw the man whom I offered my whole self and my soul. The man of my dreams and the only man I want to be with, Jethro.
My eyes suddenly teared up. Mixture of happiness, excitement and grief is what I felt this time.
'Good God! Why is he so gorgeous' I muttered to myself.
Flashes of memory popped up into my mind. Those moments that we had together. The way his lips crashed into mine. The way he held my waist. The way our skins touched and the way he sent electricity down my spine. I also remembered the reason why I almost got late in this event: We had some fun last night that I forgot that today is the special day. I chuckled slightly and just shrugged all of the thoughts in my mind.
------------------
I went near him and stood up beside him and waited for his bride,Georgina.
"Hey!" We greeted each other in unison. We laughed at the sudden greeting session.
"Still up for another round, babe?" He suddenly whispered at my ear. I playfully slapped his toned arms and faced him with a warning look.
"Oh shut up, Jet! We are in your friggin wedding! Have some respect!" I told him and rolled my eyes.
There was a brief silence after that but then again, we laughed because of how hypocrite I am.
And yes. This so-called wedding is not mine. This is the wedding of my bestfriend and my man. Funny how it seems but it looks like I am the antagonist of this love story.
