Hanging out

Friday after class

"Come on Pha, Let's go the a bar tonight" Beam asked as soon as their class finished. "Yeah, come with us. You haven't hung out with us all week. Let's party" Kit tried to convince Phana. "Sorry guys, not tonight. I'm tired. Why don't we go to the movies tomorrow at noon?" Phana had offered Forth and Ming to babysit tonight so that they could go out. "There is a new marvel movie playing" he tried to distract his friends from their invitation. "Oh yeah, I want to see that one. Let's go to the movies tomorrow" Luckily Kit was easily distracted. Phana quickly left and drove home.

"Are you sure you're alright with staying home tonight?" Ming asked as he was getting ready to go to the bar. "Yes, of course... have fun" Phana replied. He looked at Ming and Forth. They both wore their leather jackets as they were taking their bikes tonight. Standing next to each other they were a sight to behold. Both tall, strong and handsome. Ming a little more approachable with his contagious laugh and his humour. And Forth the man everyone admired but preferable from afar since his dominating aura intimidated even grown men.

Phana standing on the front porch with Aim in his arms waved them goodbye as they left. They arrived at the same time, but Ming let Forth enter first.

Forth went to the end of the bar to a private secluded area which overlooked the entire bar but could not be accessed without permission. He and his friends had an ongoing reservation on their table every Friday. Lam had arranged it since he got tired sick of seeing girls hit on his boyfriend Park and wanted a place where they could sit and enjoy their drinks undisturbed. He joined Lam, Park and Max on their table.

Ming ordered his drink and went to join his friends. He and August had fun watching Sek flirt with girls and even made bets on how the girls would react. "the girl on your left keeps glancing at you. I think she is interested. And she is just your type" August nudged Ming. Ming looked at the girl. She was indeed just his type, but he didn't feel anything. Seducing a girl just to sleep with her didn't have the same appeal it did a month ago. Too much had happened, and he wasn't the same man he was before. "Not interested" he replied August "you know what I really feel like doing?" August looked at Ming confused, Ming seemed different to him, more mature. "No... what?" "Lasershooting" Maybe not more mature August thought "hell yeah, let's go now". He and Ming went over to grab Sek and together with 2 other boys from their class they left the bar.

"Who do you think you are... hitting on my girl" Suddenly some guy grabbed Sek and punched him. Ming went over to Sek to help him up. Behind the guy a group of 18 men gathered, clearly ready to fight. "Look we don't want trouble... we were just leaving" August tried to reason but the guys already charged at them. 5 against 19, Ming didn't like their odds as he blocked the first punch.

"Foorthh" Tul yelled as he ran up to their table. "Some guys are attacking our first years on the parking lot". Forth and the rest of their table ran outside to help. He saw 3 guys ganging up on Ming. He grabbed them and punched them unconscious. Ming, freed now turned to help his friends. With the help from their 5 seniors the fight quickly turned in their favour. Ming and his friends looked in awe as their hazers finished the fight. Park's fighting was like a unstoppable explosion, while Lam fought with a cold precision, no unnecessary moves but no mercy. Tul and Max fought next to each other in perfect harmony. Forth's fighting was the scariest of them all. His moves where quick, hard and precise, leaving several men unconscious in his wake.

"Are you alright?" Forth asked his juniors. "Yes, we are all fine, some bumps and bruises but no real wounds" Ming replied. "Can we still go lasershooting?" Sek asked Ming. "You're going lasershooting?" Max picked in on the conversation "can we come with?" "Of course P's" Sek replied. They all gathered their bikes. "Are you really fine?" Forth grabbed Ming's arm. "Thanks to you" Ming replied thankfully. "Seniors vs juniors" Park yelled.

"Those juniors are fun" Park commented after the game to his friends. "Let's hang out with them again"

A few meters away... "Who would have thought we would hang out with our seniors" August said. "Yeah, they're cool" Sek replied. Ming laughed at his friends antics, he had a great time.

Saturday morning

Phana was getting ready to go out as Forth came out of his room. "Where are you going?" "I'm having lunch with Beam and Kit and afterwards we're going to see the new marvel movie. Ming is staying home with Aim" Phana replied. "Oh, is that movie already out? I want to see that too" Forth commented. "Want to come?" Phana asked. Forth thought it over "why not, could be fun".

They drove separately, Phana in his car and Forth on his bike. Beam and Kit were surprised when they saw Forth enter with Phana. They knew Forth from the moons competition in their first year and they occasionally hung out together in a bar but they never met like this. "Hey guys, I hope you don't mind but I invited Forth to have lunch and go to the movie with us" Phana said as they entered the restaurant. "No problem ... hey Forth" Kit replied. Kit and Beam sat next to each other and Phana and Forth sat opposite from them.

"The steak here is very good" Phana told Forth. "Oh good, I will take that then. What will you eat?". "I'm leaning towards fish. They have a Spanish dish called paella that I want to try." As the waiter arrived Forth ordered naturally for the both of them "we will take a large steak, one paella and a bottle of water for us". Beam and Kit watched as Forth and Phana started talking casually.

"Since when are they so familiar with each other?" Kit whispered to Beam "I don't know, ask them" Beam whispered back. "I don't want to... Forth scares me. You do it" Kit begged. "Uuuuhhmm" Beam didn't dare to do it either, Forth intimidated him. So, they pretended that they didn't notice a change between Phana and Forth during dinner and the movie. In the end they went home without answers but decided to let it go since it didn't matter to them.
