Something New

Kasandra had grown into a georguos young woman of 15 despite being dressed in rags still, and never being loved by her family. Kas had long dark brown hair with bangs, pale sink a very desirable figure and blue eyes that sparkled like sapphires. Naturally the men of London took notice of her beauty, although she was beautiful she was also very cunning. When ever a man came up to her wanting sex Kasandra would ask for food or money in advance, because she was so lovely almost all the men gave her the food or money. Once she took it from them she would dart away, no one could catch her.   

If any man was getting to handsy for her Kas would lead them into an ally and slit there throughts with some razors she had stolen. Then she would proceed to rob the dead body. She was never caught.

One day Commodore Maxwell received a letter from a military post in La Florida saying that they need a strong leader to train new recurtes. He accepted and told his family that they would be leaving next week.

"Kasandra. I wanted to inform you that we will be leaving to La Florida next week and though we care not for you, you will come with us." Mr. Maxwell said to her coldly.

"Well that's bloody fine then... but I's don't see why ye don't just leave me here on me lonesome like me hole life had been." Kas snapped back at him.

Mr. Maxwell squeezed her wrist until it turned red.

"Do not defy me you wretch!" And with that he left her.

Later next week they were off to La Florida. Kasandra stayed mostly stayed above deck watching and learning from the captain who was a kindly old man. Renee spent most of her time complaining about everything to her husband, which Kas found amusing. Before they knew it they arrived to La Florida 3 months later.

"Welcome to La Florida Commodore and family!" Said a  short kind looking gentleman. "Allow me to show you to your new home."

There new house was quite large with many rooms and a huge porch that made Renee happy, having the biggest house in town. Kasandra could care less about the house knowing that she would get the worst room anyways. Kas was only focused on her future carrier in piracy. She knew she was good with a sword and pistol and quick on her feet, but she need better training so she went to ask her father about possibly joining up in the Navy.

"Oh....its you what do you want girl." Said Mr Maxwell not even looking up at her.

"Sir I wish to join up in the Navy." Kas stated bluntly.

"A woman in the Navy," he scoffed. " You must be out of your damn mind."

Renee had listened to the whole conversation and informed her husband that if Kasandra would surly die in training then they would be rid of her with there reputation intact. Nickolas thought about this and agreed that Kasandra could join up.
