Prologue:
You swallowed weakly, unable to move with a fixed gaze on your parents. The sight was frightening, messy. You felt small. Of course, you were small, being as you were only four years old. But you never really felt small until now, watching the feud between mother and father. Just learning how to walk, you weren't capable of fleeing the scene, having to sit and watch every violent act. It was the mother who was attacking father, for a reason you didn't understand. You knew how she felt towards you though, pretending that you never existed as if being just another villain that she was sent to demolish. It was like that way ever since birth, even your brother was scared to be near you, so he never was, leaving you to the lonely life you had gotten used to. Even so, you still loved your mother.
But the scene that played out in front of you was something new.
The wind flew around your parents, both using nothing but their quirks to fight. Mother stood by a grocery cart, pointing her hand flatly at it, and with one swift movement, she brought her hand up. It suddenly melted as it lifted into the air, hardening as your mother pointed to father. It didn't hardback into a grocery cart, but a big hunk of pointed metal with the sharp end looking father in the eyes.
He jumped to the side as it flew to him, nearly dodging the bullet. It angered mother, watching him avoid her attack. She picked up a chunk of asphalt broken up from the road beneath them and threw it his way. It slams into his head, knocking him back but leaving him to stand up straighter, more aware of her movements. She quickly spots another grocery cart, melting it with the power erupting from her hands and forcing it to the air. Another big chunk is thrown at him, faster and stronger than the last. He holds both of his palms out, facing the deformed grocery cart as it disassembles and falls a foot before reaching him.
At least his quirk helped him save himself. Mother was strong, but he was strong too. Amiko could never understand why they couldn't get along, nor could she figure out what the battle was about. Father took several more blows, having car doors thrown at him, tires even. Amiko felt like it had been going on forever, watching blood spill, injuries get worse, and for what?
Why was mother like this?
Even after the battle, years later when you had grown, you were just like her. Despite remembering everything she did, you had a similar smile, personality, and strong will. Yet, she still avoided you. The only reason you could get out of her was that she hated your father, and for that, she could hardly stand to look at you. After all,
You were a mistake your mother wished to take back. Your name is Amiko.

You awoke to the birds chirping outside the window, the wind blowing gently through the opening and inside your bedroom. The smell of a mist morning tingles your senses. You rolled out of bed, but alas being the klutz you are, tripped over your blanket and fell to the floor with a thud. You scrambled to your feet walking into your bathroom and rubbing your eyes. Although the bathroom was small, set up with a standard shower and multiple shelves each organized and categorized with different labels and colors, your bathroom felt like a safe cabin. A place where you can get washed away in your dreams by a wave of desire, the hope that you could be loved as the greatest hero just like mum.
Your dreams were rudely interrupted when you fell back into the shower. You yelled, rubbing the side of your head. "I shouldn't have sat on the edge of the bath," you complained while sitting. Your eyes caught sight of the mirror, noticing a large gash and a bright red liquid running down the side of your face. Grinning in pain and starting to wipe the blood away, you refused to use your quirk: A combination of two deadly quirks making you more like a villain instead of the hero you wanted to be.
After cleaning and washing your face, you winced at the blood staining pain, dabbing the left side of your face before throwing the bloody towel in the sink. You ran into your closet throwing on a white crop top, blue jean jacket, and a bright blue skirt that matched the same shade as your jacket. You put on some black boots and a necklace, tying your hair up into a ponytail, you sat on your bed to fix your shoes when the sweet smell of ham, eggs, and rice bring you back from your Dreamland insecurity. Just as you were about to open your room door, you heard a soft knock on the other side.
"Hey, Amiko-chan are you up?" Your older brother called out. Smiling, you quickly opened the door and hugged him, startled when your brother hesitantly but gently hugged you back.
"Tadashi-kun! What a surprise! You usually never talk to me." Amiko let go of her older brother
"Well, I know how you like to dream about being a hero... You've heard of U.A high school, right? "Tadashi grabbed his little sister's hand, leading her to the kitchen where a letter was placed on the granite counter in front of her. Amiko picked it up, looking confused at her older sibling.
"I didn't apply to the entrance exams... Why is thi-" You were interrupted as Tadashi spoke again.
"I entered it for you! If you want to become a hero, every hero starts somewhere. Your journey of heroism starts here." He pointed at the paper with a smile. You look back gleaming brightly as tears threatened to spill from your pupils, holding the crinkled paper in your hands.
Amiko quickly wiped her tears and opened the letter, letting her brother place a bowl in front of her. A small disk falls onto the counter projecting "Pro Hero All Might" on a small holograph. All Might's voice was loud, and just as All Might had said her name.....
Slam*
The front door swung open revealing your mother marching in through the door unaware of the letter in your hands. Emi laughed, running right by you and to her son to hug him.
"Mom, you didn't say you were coming... Why are you here?"
Emi let go of her son and leaned against the counter, "Do I really need a reason to visit my child?" Your mother turned around to face the cup-filled cupboard when she saw the letter in a child's hands. Emi quickly snatched the later from you, "but Mama!" Amiko whined just before Tadashi was hit on the head with a shoe, "Tadashi-kun, You know better than to leave your things with orphans!" Tadashi glared at his mother before speaking "Mom, I'm not entering U.A! Amiko is! She wants to be a hero like you and I support her. Why can't you accept her as your child? She's your daughter as much as she is my sister. Who cares who her father is?!"
A/n: I'm going to pick this chapter up and you will be introduced to a new character in the next chapter because this is my first story and i'm creating the main character as I go.
