"Boragekit, this is your last chance. Are you sure you don't want to be Quetzalring's apprentice?" The half-pleading but still calm voice of Cedarstar was brought to the six-moon-old kit's ears.
Boragekit lashed her tail, her hazy green eyes defiant. "Just because I can't see doesn't mean I can't be a warrior!"
The leader's scent gave way to a slightly different one, giving off the sort of thing that made the gray-green tabby kit think of a surprised and tense look. She stared to where the scent was coming from, hoping she was looking at the leader's face rather than a leg or something. Boragekit never knew a silence could be so loud.
After a moment and a sigh, Cedarstar spoke, "Alright. If you wish, you will train as a warrior."
Though the voice was calm, the leader who had been described to her as a powerfully built dark ginger she-cat's scent told her he didn't believe she could to it. A paw thumped lightly against her side, a signal for her to leave the musty-scented den. The gray-green kit obliged, happy enough that she'd convinced Cedarstar let her be a warrior apprentice.

The whispers around Boragepaw were quite obviously pointed towards her, and little snippets gave her all she needed to know. The Clan was surprised at the fact the new apprentice was trying as a warrior, and none of them seemed to think she could pull it off.
Annoyance lifted inside the tabby cat, a small hiss exiting her mouth. 'They'll see! I'm going to become a warrior. I won't give up!' she thought determinedly.
Fur brushed up beside hers, soft and smooth. The scent of the cat was much like the scent of trees, but also with the tang of flower, like a flowering tree. Boragepaw recognized it as the scent of Hazypaw.
"Don't listen to them! I know you'll do fine. Even if they all think you're crazy, I think you're brave! And you know what? They're the crazy ones if they don't want to open their eyes to the fact a blind cat can be a warrior," The she-cat mewed cheerfully.
A smile etched across the blind molly's face. She was warmed by the fact at least one cat believed in her.
"Thanks, Hazypaw. I appreciate your support. I'm not going to give up! If I'm not doing it for me, I'm doing it so that all those future kits born blind can know they can be warriors!" Boragepaw was surprised at how confident and firm she sounded.
The hazel-and-white she-cat beside her smiled, nudging her cheerfully. Her scent was very warm and pleasing, leading the apprentice to believe a big smile was on Hazypaw's face. Now Boragepaw was more confident than ever; She could do this- no- she would to this.
