Wednesday went by just like any other boring day. Louis was his same distant self, and Liam was an asshole pretty much all day. Louis and Harry sat at our table again, but it was mostly small talk. Out of the whole conversation I learned that Zayn is going over to Louis' house today to practice. Niall and I decided to hang out at his place and watch a movie while stuffing our face with popcorn, which I am currently doing right now.

However my mind isn't on the movie, it's constantly going back to Louis.

Zayn's POV

"Hey man." Louis says as he walks up to my truck as I pull up in his yard.

"Hey." I reply as we both work to unload the bike that's strapped onto the trailer.

I know Louis can be a jerk, hell half the time he is, but we are teammates and I have seen the real Louis behind the ridiculous mask he wears around others.

"So what have you been up too?" Louis asks me, most of the time when I come over here we would spend half our time talking rather than practicing but I'm not complaining. Louis is actually a decent guy to talk too... that is, if he likes you.

"Nothing really... hanging out with Niall and Kasey." I say, watching his reaction closely. I notice his shoulders stiffen momentarily, but he quickly recovers and nods his head yes.

"I know about you and Kasey during the storm you know." I push.

"How do you know that?" He replies, confused.

"Kasey told Niall and I everything. You know you were a dick. As far as you know you can't prove she's said anything about you. So your basically treating her different for something she didn't do." I tell him calmly, not trying to start a fight.

"How do you know she didn't do what those people told me?" He asks.

"Because, I looked pass those people that said anything and seen Kasey for who she really is. Not what they made her out to be. Maybe you should do the same Louis." I tell him, trying to get my point across.

"Yeah, Ill see what I can do about that. It's just hard to get over the things that where said. You can't just get over something like that Zayn." He says fighting back emotion.

"What have you heard, exactly?" I ask him, not really wanting to know the answer.

"All sorts of things. Mainly things that she would do to me in bed. Almost like rape. I really believed them because, well, you never really know about people now days. It's hard when that many people tell you the same things about one person." He replies.

"I heard the same type of things. But by the way she acts around you, I can tell that she is deathly afraid to say the wrong thing to you. She doesn't want to get hurt again."

I see his facial expression soften, and I know he is taking in what I am telling him. I don't push him anymore and change the subject to practice, and he gets completely lost in racing.

The thing that amazes me with him, is that he is so dedicated in what he does. He can be the biggest asshole there is, but in the long run all he really is, is a damaged young guy that's trying to work his way to his dream.

A dream to be a champion.

I believe he will one day. There's no denying that Louis is gifted. He is the only 17 year old that I know that will try and try again, no matter how many times he wipes out. If he can stand up, he will get back on.

There has been times he has had extreme accidents. I'll never forget the wipeout that costed him two weeks worth of time in the hospital, not to mention almost a month of recovery lying around at home. The accident that left him with a very noticeable scar along his rib cage as a memory of the excruciating pain he was in, but also the determination he had for getting better.
