It was around noon. I walked outside the airport, eyes catching the beautiful scenery of Japan. Hauling my suitcase, I purchased a train ticket to Miyagi, where my home will be. Mum and Dad are in Australia. Mum working as a nurse and dad working as an electrical engineer. It's safe to say they wanted me to be more independent and they heard from Aunty that there as some pretty good high school volleyball teams to go against.

I boarded the train and put my AirPods in listening to (F/A) and watch the beautiful trees and building surrounding the train. Four hours later, the train has finally reached my desired destination, Miyagi. Making my way to the house that my parents bought, it was such a cute second story modern house which by taking the appearance, it looks like it has just been built. The exterior was off white with grey outlined windows followed by a black roof to complete the clean look of the house. It looks amazing! Plus, the front of the house has a sign saying (L/N) residence making me feel less homesick and very homey. From what my parents told me, the keys should be under the mat which it was. Classic.

Once I stepped into my home I looked around and it was already filled with furniture and decorations. A note was placed next to the light switch reading:

Hello my dear niece, I hope you had a safe trip and made it to your wonderful home. You're granny and I had decorated your home to make it feel more like your home in Australia. We put some basic foods in your pantry and I made a credit card for you. Your parents will be transferring about 1000000 yen (~10000 Aud) into your account each month so take your time and adjust to Japan. Explore, visit shops and tourist areas! I enrolled you into Karasuno high school and got your uniform sorted which is located in your closet! Make sure you visit Granny in Hyogo sometime and me in Tokyo! I'll be waiting! Here's my number xxxx xxx xxx text me whenever. Love you my dear niece.
Lots of love, Aunty Hamasaki  xo

My heart went warm at the note and made me tear up a bit. For them to take their time to go all the way to my home and decorate it to make me feel less lonely and homesick makes me feel blissful and safe.

I walked upstairs to my room revealing it to be a master bedroom. It was pretty big too and it had nice white walls, fuzzy cream carpet with blush pink curtains. A queen sized bed with white and pink pillows along with white covers. To top it all off, a Tv was mounted in front of the queen sized bed along with fairly lights. So cute!! It felt like my own room. They put a volleyball in the room aswell. I dropped off my belongings and headed downstairs to make some food. I looked in the pantry and made some avo toast with salt and pepper as the seasoning and a sunny egg to top the meal off

Once I finished with my lunch, I looked at the time revealing it to be 5pm, it was still a bit early and I decided to go for a jog to explore a bit around my area so I can get used to it and not get lost.

Going back up to my bedroom and rummaging through my suitcase. I decided to wear my Nike pro spandex with a (F/C) t-shirt along Nike socks. I plugged in my airpods and wore my the north face cherry blossom shoes and dipped and jog around the neighbourhood at a steady pace.

Looking at the streets, it was moderately quiet, it had students going home from their club activities and it's making me feel excited for school tomorrow. To know what it is like in Japanese high school.

To give you a bit more of a background of myself, I was dux of my grade in Australia, topping in almost all my subjects except for English. My subjects consisting of Japanese, English, Music, Religion (it's was compulsory for me as I went to a catholic private school) mathematics b (advanced algebra skills aka trig, derivatives etc.) and mathematics c (complex numbers, matrix, calculus etc.) so it was safe to say that I'm a bit of a nerd which originated from my parents. I received multiple medals, certificates and trophies in not only the academic aspect but the sport side as well. People called me a princess sunflower, shining brightly in every aspect, someone who is perfect in academics, volleyball, appearance and personality.

But most of all, I was proud in getting a sports award of being the best ace and team player in volleyball. People admired me and found it scary how good I was at volleyball, a literal empress prodigy. I was number 1 of ace in Australia which is a big accomplishment and everyone was proud of me.

*thud*

"Ah owieeee."

I was so into deep thinking that I didn't realise my surroundings

"Ah summimasen, are you okay?" A older male voice asked.

I looked up and saw an older male who had his spikey hair slicked backed with a white thin headband along with piercings in his ear. 'A gangster?'

"Ah I'm okay, are you sir?"

"Yes I'm okay. Are you new here? I haven't seen you before and you look daze and lost like a puppy."

"Ah yes, I just arrived today and attending Karasuno the next day."

"Ehhh. A week into the new school year, that's weird."

"Don't blame me bleh." I stuck my tongue out to the older male. "Anyways, where am i?"

"You're at my family business. You need to go this way to get home kiddo, here's a meat bun. Stay safe it's getting dark soon. I work here most of the time so come over if you need anything." The male stated.

"Okay Thank you sir."

"Call me Ukai. You be making me feel like an old me calling me sir."

"Ah okay Ukai-san, I'll be heading off now. Thank you, ja ne!"

"See ya kiddo."

"Uwahhhhhhhh the meat bun was so scrumptious." I said in full bliss.

It's so mouth watering and melts right into your mouth. Ah yes I might be a simp for this meat bun right now whoopsies. Once demolishing the yummy meat bun, I got out of my jogging clothes, took a shower and hopped into my cute bunny pj's and turned on Netflix watching 'totally not haikyuu' and while watching I slowly dozed into sleeping wonderland.
