one last rainbow for you my sunshine.

there it stood. that infamous gray slab of stone. adorned with the words 'annabel wirnth loving sister, daughter, and friend. may she forever live on in our hearts and blue sour patch kids'
those simple words that made niall's heart break in his chest. that made him want to rip his eyes out, and at the same time cry until he had no more tears to shed.
he never told her he loved her. they never shared a single sour patch again.
just for old times sake niall pulled a bag of sour patch kids out of his pocket placed it right next her stone and said,

"one last rainbow for you, my sunshine."

then without another word he walked away. the only noise to be heard was the leaves rustling in the trees and the soft crinkle of the sour patch bag.

niall never ate sour patch again. it hurt too much. because those same damn blue sour patch kids that brought them together, tore them apart.
