Chapter 16

2 years later.
There was a small high pitched screaming from up the hallway followed by a pattering of feet on the floor. A little boy came running into the dinning room where I was sitting, followed by James.
"The tickle monster is coming for you Xavier you better run." James yelled.
Xavier came running and hid behind the chair then slowly moved around to hug me.
"Xavier would you like to go to the shops with daddy?"
"YES MUMMY!" He yelled in response.
"If you want to go to the shops you have to do me a favour."
"What's a favour mummy?"
"A job."
"Ok."
I leaned down and whispered into his ear the 4 little words. "Mummy's having two babies." I sat back up and watched his reacting. "Can you tell daddy."
"Yes mummy."
James had walked up stairs with Xavier to get him ready for the shops. Minutes later James had practically come running down the stairs and gave me a big hug and kiss.
"I'm guessing Xav told you."
"Yes he did and I am so glad."
"Really?"
"I couldn't be happier."
"Come on you guys have to go before everyone gets here."
"Ok ok. Xav come on we have to go now."
"Ok daddy I'm coming."
Xavier came running down the stairs and almost fell. He rushed out he door with James and hopped in the car and drove away.

By the time they came back I had baked the cake and set up decorations. James walked in with handfuls of bags and started setting out the lollies before going and starting the barbecue out the back. Xavier had rushed into the kitchen and gave me a big hug.
"Thankyou mummy."
"Oh Xav what for?"
"For giving be little babies to play with."
"Oh Xavier it's ok now you will have a baby brother or sister to play with. Maybe one boy and one girl or would you like two boys or two girls?"
"A boy and a girl so I can play footie with him and take care of her."
"Oh Xavier come he my lovely birthday boy who is two today."
"Yay."
"Are you happy?"
"Yes mummy look what daddy got me from the shops." He lead me towards the lounge room where there was a football and a teddy sitting on the couch.
"Well aren't you a lucky boy did you say thankyou."
"Yes mummy."
"Very good now go help daddy outside."
He ran out the backdoor and stood next to James.
I turned around to start decoration the cake when there was a knocking at the front door. I walked over and opened it to find Ashton and Phoebe there with Skyler and Beca.
"Hey guys, hey Sky and Bec."
"Hi aunty Summer!" They yelled in sync.
"Haha Xav is out the back."
"Ok." Beca yelled before they both ran through the house.
"James is out there too." Ashton walked out there and helped with the barbecue. Phoebe and I walked into the kitchen to finish up the rest of the food.
It wasn't long before there was another knocking in the door. I walked over and opened the door to see Jayden carrying several lots of juices while Taliha was carrying one year old Sophia.
"Come in guys everyone is out the back, head right out."
"Ok is Xav out there?" Taliha asked.
"Sure is."
The walked through the door and straight out to the backyard. I was about to close the door when a hand stopped it from closing. I opened it back up to see my mum, step-dad and James parents standing there.
"Hey guys."
There was a mumble of hi, hello and my name mixed in there.
"Come in they are all out in the backyard."
Again as I was about to close the door I noticed Luke, Jessica, Josh, Nicole, Sam, Sarah, Liam, Harry, Lisa and Couper had all either pulled up or were on their way to the door. As they all entered they said hello and made their way outside.
"James come help me bring all the food outside."
He came running in and instead of grabbing the bowls and platters I was handing him he decided to kiss me instead. Sadly I was the one to pull away. I handed him the platters and bowls, turned him around and pushed him out the door. I turned around and picked up the remaining dishes and took them out. I placed them on the table. There was already a line-up at the barbecue. The children were seated at the little table for them and had already finished half of their plates. The boys weren't to far behind, slowly followed by the girls. I was about to go and serve some food for myself when James handed me a plate full of food.
"I cooked the meat specially for you, and lots of salad."
"Thanks babe."
"Hey I don't want my babies being sick especially my big one."
"Babe I'm not a baby."
"I was talking about Xav."
"Oh you."
"I was joking. I was joking, calm down."
"Well people are finishing up so I'm going to go get the cake ready."
"Ok I will check on the little kids."
"Ok." I walked into the kitchen to find Couper standing there. He looked upset. "Couper what's wrong?"
"Oh it's nothing."
"No what's wrong?"
"I'm just thinking about what life would have been life if I didn't run."
"Couper don't do that go enjoy the party, not for me but for Xav."
"Ok." He walked out and talked to my step dad.
I put the candles on the cake, lit them and took it out to the backyard.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR XAVIER.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU." Everyone sung together.
"Blow out the candles Xav."
With a big smile on his face he puffed out his cheeks and blew out the candles.
I cut the cakes and served everyone a piece. I was talking to all the other ladies when I heard a big splash. I swivelled around to find James, Xavier, William, Skylar, Couper, Austin, Luke, Jayden and Beca all in the pool.
"Guys did you all jump in together." I asked
"Yes mummy we all held hands and jumped in." Xavier answered sheepish.
"Oh Xav. Happy birthday my little boy."

So that's the last chapter everyone I hope you enjoyed it. I will be writing an epilogue. School starts on Friday and I'm trying to finish this by then but I have to babysit tomorrow so wish me luck. Thanks guys
