She was as bright as the sun,
her light shined for everyone.
He was perplexed but intriguing just
like the moon, and whenever you looked
into his eyes they were mischievous,
but also gloom.
A lonely sweetheart that
could never cause any doom.
Her fire burned his doubts and fears,
His ice cooled her mind and froze her
tears. The two were so different,
yet they were uniquely the same.
Two opposite elements that could never
be tamed.
Together they were passionate,
and had a fierce bond so unbreakable,
that neither man, nor woman with a
sword could pierce.
Her light uncovered dangerous enemies
His knowledge taught her about the
world and it's unfair atrocities, but then
something happened.
One day her light slowly started to flicker,
When she saw the Earth and the moon
together.
The Earth had beautiful attributes,
she was gifted with
the gift of creating life, while the sun couldn't.
The sun only had rays that
burned anyone that came to close.
She could not create life, but only
burn it.
The Earth thought she had won,
she had fun with the moon, when
the sun's time was done.
Her beauty, her grace was satisfaction at best,
but there was
just one truth that she
could never accept.
Even though the moon was
fascinated by the Earth's beauty,
he still cared for the sun.
He missed her rays, he loved the different ways
she would brighten the people of Earth's days, she never led others
a stray.
But the Earth also failed to see, that
without the sun, there would be no Earth.
Although she could not create life,
She helped to sustain it.
She nurtured, and tended to all life.
The Earth wouldn't have experienced love,
patience and kindness.
The sun opened the moon's heart
and that was something that the
Earth could never tear a part.
