DISCLAIMER- I AM NOT TRYING TO RECREATE ANY PRE EXISTING POST APOCALYPTIC STORIES (Like Divergent, The Hunger Games, etc.) I just had the idea and I created all of this from scratch I swear. I've been wanting to do a story like this for a while and so I finally did it. If you're gonna accuse me of copying anything, no offense, but I suggest you leave because I'm writing all of this from my head, not basing anything off of anything, not even characters. So thanks.
Main Plot: The apocalypse brought unfathomable events to action. Now there were very few amounts of survivors, all divided into groups called divisions. There were six of them:
-The Halcyons (peaceful): Most other divisions just called them the stoners. They were very carefree and didn't really do much but get, well, stoned. They rarely came into contact with the other divisions because they believe that if they do, it will disrupt their 'bliss'. They were isolated near the remains of Boston.
-The Stringents (strict): These were the guys who started a majority of the wars; and won. Actually, it is rumored that they remain undefeated. They train their people from age 3 to become soldiers. They're pretty much raised to become emotionless robots that protect their division, along with the Brokers. The weak ones either become workers (like cooking, cleaning, caring for the youth, etc) or they get executed. They're located in Baltimore.
-The Brokers (financial): These guys handled all trade among divisions. So they pretty much controlled everything. They are also the most fortunate out of all of us. They are in the middle of what used to be Washington DC. Due to their high level of wealth, they inhabit the only standing buildings left in the U.S., those consisting of the White House and the Capitol Building.
-The Contrivers (engineer): They are quite friendly, and provide any type of help in their esthetic, including things like building a shelter, fixing wiring, or even just changing a lightbulb. This division also controls any use of weaponry, including registry on weapons. You see, when you go to the contrivers to get a gun, that specific gun is placed in your name. Then, when you return to get ammunition, each and every bullet is also placed under your name. The Brokers created this system in order to keep tranquility, which makes absolutely no sense. These guys live near the good old city of Philadelphia.
-The Anarchists (rebels)- This is the group that consisted of pretty much anyone who considers themselves a badass. They mainly consisted of people aged from 12 to 28. They are the ones who lack the most resources, due to the fact that they were added to the division system at a later period and weren't given much. They mainly rely on stealing from other divisions, hunting, and well, being rebellious. Their main enemies are the Stringents and the Brokers because they think the Anarchists' lack of structure and their inhumane demeanor makes them immature, irresponsible, and untrustworthy. And since the Brokers act as the lead division, all of the other divisions are taught to think of the Anarchists the same as the Brokers. These people were nomads for a while, until they finally settled in the remains of New York City.
-The Blanks (unnamed): This group had no title for a reason. They were pretty much the people who refused to join a division, or they got banished from whichever division they were previously in. These guys were scattered all along the U.S., unlike the other divisions who stayed near the East Coast. Their division was quite ironic, actually. They were the most populated, yet the least powerful. They could've risen to power if they took action immediately, but they were too slow to surpass The Brokers.
