Ch. 5- Patience Is Key [TO BE DELETED]

What seemed like hours passed and Apple Jack and I were still tied to chairs. The black-and-white suited man paced the area in front of us, mumbling under his breath. Occasionally he would bark out a harsh cuss word, startling the two of us.

I wanted to talk to AJ, with the intent of asking her to activate her power, but I dared not to speak lest the man overheard me and did something.

"So Shiggy wouldn't tell me where you came from, that bastard. Spill the tea, sis!" The man said to me, the pitch of his voice and demeanor changing between sentences.

"You're a maniac," Apple Jack hissed.

"Oh for sure! Watch what you say to me bitch." He snapped.

"Please, just let us go," I begged, squirming uncomfortably in my binds.

"Sorry, no can do. Boss would disintegrate me, I tell ya," Twice explained, speaking like a valley-pony.

The door opened and in walked the mist-man, Kurogiri. "Twice, you may take a break."

"Thanks chief!" Twice then rushed out the room with a skip in his step.

"I brought you two some water and food. Tomura wants you to be well nourished and healthy," he started, kneeling in front of me with a plate of buttered toast and a cup. "I truly apologize for the quality of the food, but I hope it will suffice."

I looked at the toast. It may have been just toast, but I was so hungry at that point it looked like a four-course meal.

"Don't eat it, Twilight. It could be poisoned," AppleJack warned.

"I assure you it is perfectly normal. I made it myself."

I looked between AppleJack and Kurogiri confused. "No, that's alright sir."

He sighed. "As you wish. Tomura isn't going to like that though." He then stood and left.

"Twilight, I know you're hungry. I am too. But we have to be smart and cautious. We don't know what these guys are up to," AJ said comfortingly.

"Alright, I trust you."
