My face stayed completely calm as the prophecy finished, but on the inside I was cringing. I'd mastered this over the years. Another prophecy meant more hardship and loss for my children. I also feared that it was my fault, a problem I could have solved long ago if I'd just told someone about this other world.
I could have stayed contemplating my choice for a year but another thing I'd learned is there was nothing I could do about it now except help the seven in every way I could. So I gathered up all my mental energy and sent out a silent plea to my favorite cousin Silveny.
