Jimin's POV

I sat outside of the doctor's office, my knee bouncing a kazillion times for every one tick of the clock on the wall. She's taking a while. My eyes glance up at the clock to see that an hour has passed since the appointment started and my nerves kick in stronger than before. The door opens and I'm already on my feet, approaching the doc.

"Well?" I ask as he looks at me.

"Had her take the pregnancy stick test and she tested positive, but she insisted she wasn't and asked for the bloodwork version since the stick tests are a 'hoax'."

"Sounds like Nova," I can't help but mutter with a roll of my eyes. "Then I should bring her back in tomorrow to get tested?"

"That would be great, in the meanwhile keep an eye on her. Based on the test she just took, she's pregnant so it's best we don't take any chances."

"Understood doc," I nod my head and he chuckles, ruffling my hair.

"You never change, do you Jimin?"

"I'd like to think I do sir," I grin.

"It seems you'll have to study under me again if she's a patient of yours. I'll see if I can find some old textbooks to give you, so you aren't caught horribly off-guard."

"That would be great."

"Okay, now get in there and collect her, I have to head to my next appointment. Schedule an appointment tomorrow, remember a 12 hour fast before the appointment if she's getting blood drawn."

"Understood sir!" I grin as he pats me on the shoulder before heading off with a clipboard in hand.

I enter the room to the sight of Nova sitting there still as stone.

"Brat?" I ask but am met with silence as she stares unresponsively at the wall across from her.

There wasn't a single bit of emotion showing on her face from what I could see, even as I stepped closer. I let out a soft sigh, figuring this was going to be coming eventually.

"Come on Brat, we can think about this when we get home," I say, gently grabbing her hand and pulling her up from her seat.

"I told you I wasn't Jimin," she suddenly breaks out into a teasing grin and I sigh.

"When we get home, okay?" I say again, looking straight at her to prove I was being serious.

"But it's a ho-"

"I said when we get home Nova," I cut her off a bit firmer this time as I pull her out of the room and up to the receptionist.

Nova stays quiet as I schedule another appointment tomorrow and all the way home. I pull our bikes back into the tiny garage space I had, waiting for Nova to say something about the test being a hoax. She says nothing, even as we silently slip our shoes off.

"Take a seat on the sofa please, I'll make some tea. Anything bothering you at the moment?"

"No, my back is just a little sore at the moment."

"Have the painkillers worn off?"

"I still have an hour."

I nod, heading into the kitchen and starting up the tea as she goes to sit on the couch. Quickly brewing up some tea, I watch her quickly zone out as she occasionally rocks back and forth.

"Can I assume Yoongi is responsible since I'm not aware of anyone else?" I ask carefully and I watch her nod.

"Yoongi is a bit of a dick sometimes," I start with a sigh, setting down her tea in front of her.

"Surprise, surprise," she rolls her eyes at me.

I chuckle as I sit down next to her, sipping my tea with no rush.

"To be honest, I think he is scared of commitment. Scared of both commitment and letting people get close. I don't think anything that happened is your fault to be honest. But how can I say that with confidence if I don't know what happened, ya know?"

She hums with a nod, "Yeah, I know he's scared of those kinds of things. He just told me that I was different so I believed him. Never told me why I was different though."

She sighs, gently blowing on her tea before taking a sip.

"I'm not going to make excuses for him or pretend to understand his reasoning, but I'd like to at least understand what happened from your end."

She hums, staring into her mug as if asking for the answers to all her questions.

"There's not much too it. I fell for him, hard, and I thought he liked me too. I told him I didn't want to just be Master and Apprentice anymore, that I didn't want to be a fling. We started dating and then after one of our sparring practices..." she trails off before sighing.

"No need to rush, take your time," I mutter softly, watching her get worked up.

"The illusion... I casted when you and Yoongi found me in the cave, that was the night this whole," she gestures about vaguely in an attempt to communicate what was going on in her head, "thing started."

"I see, so you had sex then."

She only nods, releasing her self hug so she could bring her knees to her chest. I watch her for a minute, trying to figure out what to do or say.

"I trusted him, I told him as much. I was just as reckless, if not more than, as him to let him and agree to let him go without protection. I admit as much, even though it pains me to admit I'm just as much at fault, once again if not more."

"You were both reckless, that I can agree with," I nod in thought, trying to pull something together to tell her. "And I think it would be easy to push the blame on Yoongi, even though that isn't the truth. I mean, a lot of people can say that he was older, more experienced and that he should have known but you're both at fault."

She nods wordlessly, and I panic to grab at something actually comforting to say. My attempt to figure out how to comfort her is cut short when I hear her sniffle.

"Ah, come on brat," I sigh reaching out to unravel her from her ball of self-comfort.

"Wh- what?" She looks up at me and I curse my heart when it clenches at the sight of her tears. I always hated seeing people cry.

"Come now," I gently grab her wrist and pull her to my chest. "It's alright, I'll be here to help you every step of the way."

"No matter what?"

"No matter what."
