Becoming your sacrifice

Trap

Sara's POV:
" I-" I didn't even know what to say. Draco looked at  me deadly. I couldn't believe I saw Draco Malfoy having tears in his eyes... the cold hearted Draco who bullied people for no reason was talking to moaning Myrtle about his feelings, and why did he mention my name , what about me .
"What are you doing in here ?" Draco asked . He looked scared.
" I could ask you the same question Malfoy , your in the girls washroom." I said .
"How long have you been standing there ?".
"I just came. I wanted to take a shower but I see that the washroom is clearly not available right now." I lied.
He didn't say anything. He just walked out , I saw that he was trying to cover up his arm , I just didn't know why.
After I took a shower I heard Myrtle talking to herself.
"Myrtle what was the whole thing about?" I asked her.
"Not important, Draco talks to me sometimes when no ones here. Why are you asking ,is mr.Malfoy your little crush?" She said with her squeaky voice, if she wouldn't be a ghost I would slap her.
"After what his father did to my mom Myrtle ? Are you even thinking?" I couldn't control my anger. I left. I wasn't waiting for the answer because I knew she wasn't going to tell me what they were talking about.

The next day my first class was transfiguration with Professor McGonagall. I was the first one to be in class.
After everyone came we saw a cat sitting on Professor McGonagall's desk, we all knew it was her.
"Good Morning , welcome to your first transfiguration class this year. In my class I'll be the one to give you people you're going to sit with. Everyone please stand up." She said.
"Is it just me or are her eyes getting wider each year?" I said to Cho. We both giggled.
"Mrs.Sara ,I see you really want to find out your person, please sit with Cedric Diggory."
I stood there like a rock. The whole school knew about me and Cedric. Everyone started looking at me and him. I didn't have a choice I had to sit down or I would make the whole situation even worse.

"Okay now that everyone has their seats your going to work with a person beside you."McGonagall said.
Is this a joke. How am I supposed work with Cedric?
"Um- Sara." I overheard Cedric talking to me.
" Yes?"
"We have to do this project together which means that we have to talk." He said.
I didn't know what to say. He was acting normal, he didn't seem to be mad at me but I know Cedric is great at hiding emotions.
"Cedric I wanted to talk to you about my fa-" He stopped me and said :
"Meet me at the astronomy tower after class, it's not the right time to talk about it." He said and started getting to work.

After we did what McGonagall asked us to do the class ended.
" Sara can you come to my class at 7 please?" I heard Professor McGonagall asking.
"Of course."

I was waiting for Cedric at the astronomy tower for almost 30 minutes. My potions class with Professor Snape was starting in 25 minutes and I really didn't want to be late, I mean no one wants to be late to Snape's class... I was sure that Cedric wasn't going to come , why would he even want to talk to me after everything my father did to him and his family.
I was about to walk back ,but I heard Cedric calling my name.
"Sara wait!" He screamed.
"Sorry, McGonagall wanted to talk to me about you ... I mean us."
"About us? What was she asking?"
"Just about the project. You wanted to talk to me about something right?"
I could see that he was lying, his voice was shaking and he changed the subject to fast.
"Um Yes. Cedric I'm so sorry about my father, what he did to you and your parents is horrible and I-"
I felt his warm hands wrapping around me.
"Sara , it's not your fault , it was your father not you, thank you for saving my dad, I love you." He whispered. It was the first time I heard him saying it. Even when we were dating he wasn't sure if he wants to say it. He was waiting for the right moment. But did he actually love me or was it just too much emotions? Maybe he just thinks he loves me, he's blinded by the fact that I saved his father from the death eaters.
"Cedric I... " I didn't know what to say.Yes I cared about him with all my heart , he was always there for me, but I just wasn't sure if I love him.
"Thank you. For everything." I said. I didn't say it back. Especially now it's not the right time for a relationship, I don't want my father to hurt anyone ever again... I had to keep my distance.
"Yeah of course." He looked sad. I knew it was because I didn't say it back but he always respected my feelings more than anyone so I barely worried about that.
"Sara. I want to start over. I feel a wave of emptiness when I'm not with you, it stops every time I see you."
I freezed. I wanted him back more than ever, but I couldn't , it was too dangerous.
" Cedric I can't. I can't let anyone be hurt because of me ever again." I ran away crying, I didn't want to tell anyone what I feel.
I saw the Weasley twins in the hall.
" Fred , George!" I screamed.
"Sara!" They said.
"Give me something. I'll pay you guys later. I have potion class." I pretended to smile. They knew even though I was in Slytherin, I hated Snape.
"Here, take ONE, or your gonna vomit-"
"For the next 5 hours." Fred finished.
"Thanks guys. See you at quidditch practice."
I ran to the girls washroom. No one goes there because of Myrtle so I had time for myself. I couldn't resist anymore. Everything was just too much. I started bawling my eyes out.
