Thump...
             Thump...
                               Thump...
                                                Thump....

My heart was pacing frantically inside of my chest, recovering from the previous circumstance as my eyes fluttered open, unknowing of how long I had been knocked out. The static within my brain grew overbearing-becoming an endless headache in the back of my eyes. My limbs felt strained and sapped of their power. I was bound.

Was this outcome a fault in my calculations? Something inevitable to happen?

Is this truly my fate?

As my mind grew more conscious, questions brimmed to their capacity inside of me. The surroundings were entirely devoid of light, with the exception of a few candles that provided little clarity of my current predicament. As my eyes adjusted to the dark, I noticed within the narrow space after absorbing its detail-It was mostly empty, except for a few chairs and a small wooden table across the room from me. My limbs were hoisted in different directions, connecting my arms to the ceiling and legs to the ground below me. By the numb tingling that coursed through my body, It must've been hours since I was incapacitated.

I have no idea where I am, but this must be the Phantom Troupes hideout.

From my peripheral vision, I distinguished a mysterious figure standing up from one of the chairs. He must've been using hatsu to conceal his presence so that I didn't notice anyone was here... "Oh, look who wake up..." The mysterious figure spoke, sauntering towards my direction. I was unable to distinguish who it was, but his voice was familiar. My eyes widened once I came to recognize the features. Feitan. The short man peaked behind his shoulder, acknowledging another person in the room.
The other figure glanced up from what he was holding in his hand. A book? He walked across the room over to Feitan, standing beside him-with a malicious glow in his eyes. He glared at me. It was Chrollo. Seeing his face again was enough to send me within a mental spiral, and my eyes instantly turned scarlet at the sight.

I was so close to avenging my brethren. My emotions backfired and hindered my opportunity to complete the legacy that was bestowed for me. Despair consumed me as I felt myself sinking deeper within my mind, repeating the circumstance that brought me here.

"You took away my only meaning in life," I felt his gaze on me while mine briefly remained averted. Presumably laughing within his mind about the pathetic state I was in.

"My purpose!" I yelled out, slicing open a spot on the leader's chest. Immediately, it began gushing his gore everywhere. Chrollo's once stone features flashed an expression of shock, his eyes widened.

              "You make me sick!"

"The spider doesn't die once the head is gone." He spoke out softly, with a cold tone. A faint smirk spread across his lips, following with an amused chuckle released from his lips while he leered into my eyes.

       It was exciting for him.

Someone released a harsh nen infused chop to the back of my neck before I could finish my sentence.

                        I was failing.

"Take him..."

my vision went black, dropping into the inevitable void that it brings.

"Well, well, well... Look who's in a predicament now." The leader spoke, breaking the silence. A smirk surfaced on his lips, observing the turn of events that transpired. Stepping closer to me, his eyes appeared ravenous.
