My Greatest Nightmare

We were busy eating while teasing each other when we heard a doorbell. I got nervous thinking about what would my parents are planning to do this time.

Tanzanite went to open the door.

"Come in Sir, ma'am."

"You have a beautiful home."

"You're really wealthy despite of being alone. I can that you're independent and a responsible man. Keep up the good work." My parent meet my eyes.

"It seems like you're both enjoying eh?"

"What's wrong if we're enjoying Ma?"

"Magaling ka ng sumagot ha?"

"May sasabihin daw po kayo?" Tanzanite asked.

"Ah yes. We forgot about the wedding. We need to be there for the reputation, of course. I don't want to see or hear people saying that we made a huge scandal and that is what happened on both of you that night. Baka sabihin nila na pabaya kami." Ma said.

"So when will be the wedding?" I asked.

"I have enough money Sir if you want a wedding tomorrow, it's okay."

"We also have money hijo. Don't worry we'll pay everything so that people would say that we are supportive parents. And we're sorry for bringing misfortune in your life and that is the prostitute in front of me." Papa said.

"Stop saying that Sir. How many times do I have to tell you that she's not a prostitute. I'm sorry to say this na wala po kayong kwentang magulang." It was too late when I stop my parents.

Mama slapped him so hard and Papa punch him and he fell down on the ground. His lower lip is bleeding.

"Bastos kang bata ka!" Papa shouted.

"You have no right to say those words to us. Kung wala kaming kwenta, we should have abandoned her."

"That's what you did when you send me away Ma." I said.

I was slap as well not just from mama but also from papa.

"Pareho kayong Bastos! Bwisit! How unfortunate that we came here just to here those words from both of you." Papa screamed so loud.

"Calm down hon. The neighbours might hear us." Papa went outside the house and mama followed him.

After 2 minutes they came back. I think they are both calmed already.

"Be ready we'll go shopping tomorrow for your wedding." Papa said.

"The wedding would be after 3 days of preparation. Everything should be perfect. I don't want to hear any protest, just follow our orders. This is for my and your Papa's reputation. Ayokong may pumalpak." Mama strictly said.
