Sherlock was laying on the couch, his hands under his chin and eyes closed. He was thinking about the case Lestrade had given him earlier when he heard your footsteps enter the room. You climbed over him, placing your knees on either side of his hips and your hands beside his head.
"Sherlock, listen to me I have a question," you said, your face hovering above his.
"I doubt it's of any importance," he said not even opening his eyes.
"It is of importance! I wanted to ask if you could take me to the zoo."
"Get John to take you in the morning," he responded flatly.
"No Sherlock I want to go now," you whined. "I was watching the nature channel and they showed all these lions and their cubs and I just reeeeeally want to pet a baby lion."
"You can't actually touch the animals at the zoo (y/n)," he said finally opening his eyes to look up at you. "It's pointless to go to the zoo all you do is gawk at animals behind glass. And it's two thirty in the morning the zoo has been closed for hours."
"I know it's been closed that's why I'm asking you to take me and not John. You can sneak us in!" you said smiling. "Plus John's in the shower," you added.
"No I'm busy."
"But Sherlock! It will be fun think about it. Trespassing in the dead of night into an empty zoo. Getting to sneak past security cameras and lockpick our way into buildings," you said. Sherlock just sighed and closed his eyes. You didn't think that little persuasion was going to work anyway and luckily you had prepared.
"Oh fine," you sighed as you sat back on your heels. "You wouldn't have been able to sneak us in anyway." Hearing your words Sherlock quickly opened his eyes.
"Of course I could don't be stupid," he said.
"I don't know, what with the new security system and all," you said.
"What security system?" he asked sitting up.
"Oh just this fancy new system they got," you said as you fixed some his stray curls that had fallen out of place. "The head of security at the zoo said it's absolutely impossible to get through. It's been all over the news."
"Hmph, maybe impossible for ordinary people," he mumbled. "Alright fine. I'll sneak you into the zoo. Now get off me." You happily got up from his lap and grabbed one of John's jackets from the coat rack and threw it on. You could hear Sherlock mumbling about how there was no security system he couldn't crack and something about 'that's what they thought in Malaysia and it took less than thirty seconds for me to get in'. You were grabbing your phone from the kitchen when you heard the shower switch off followed by John walking into the kitchen.
"C'mon (y/n) I haven't got all night," Sherlock called from the living room after he'd put on his signature coat and scarf.
"And where are you two going this late at night?" John asked.
"Oh just out for a night of mischief, vandalism and trespassing. The usual," you answered.
"You shouldn't be talking her into stuff like this Sherlock," John said as Sherlock entered the room.
"It was her idea!" he said offended.
"Just don't get arrested because I'm not going to bail you out," John stated. "What are you going to do anyway?"
"Oh just break into the zoo and pet lions and possibly bring one back here," you rambled out quickly.
"What?! No absolutely not!" John exclaimed.
"Oh John I knew you'd approve," you said as you pecked him on the cheek. "We'll be back later. You know if the lions don't eat us," you said grabbing Sherlock's arm and pulling him out the door.
