"no, no! that was bullshit!" i yelled at my friend, lily. she had just punched me into lava, killing me once again.

"you're gonna have to be better than that, pais." she told me, laughing so hard i thought she would explode.

"okay," i sigh, "i'm getting off for the night, i'm extremely tired and i have to work tomorrow. bye lily's chat!"

"stay on the vc!" she said, before i put myself on deafen so i could take a second to gather my thoughts.

lily and i had been friends for years, she lives on the other side of the country. we both stream on twitch. however, she takes it more seriously than i do. mainly because i work almost a full time job, and am still in school. it's just a fun side gig.

i pride myself in being fairly good at minecraft, and most video games. it's just something that's always come to me naturally, since i've been gaming my whole life. i never really thought i could make something out of it, but i have almost two-thousand twitch subscribers! i feel terrible because i can't put my all into it, it just doesn't seem very practical for where i'm at in life.

i scroll on my phone for a bit, waiting for lily. i got on twitter and went ahead and liked and retweeted a few things that had been clipped from her stream i just finished with. i love the small community i have with my fans, i always feel as if they're just my friends. lily and i only really ever game with each other. we like to call ourselves, "the streamers no one has ever heard of." mainly because no one has asked us to collaborate with them, but we don't mind, we like our little fanbase.

i decided to tweet out, thanking lily for an awesome stream

"hey!" i heard lily shout over discord, "i'm done streaming."

"that was fun, you got lucky tonight, i wasn't on my a-game." i replied.

"oh yes, the infamous a-game. i'm just so amazingly-awesome and you hate to admit it."

"i'm so sorry to be your ego breaker, but i will always be much better at most minecraft related things. unless it's farming, you can keep to that" i chuckled while saying. she has this weird obsession with making the best farming contraptions, to make it super efficient.

"leave me and my crops alone," i could hear her literally frowning through her voice, "you're still not better than dream."

"who?" i questioned.

"dream? dreamwastaken? world record speedrunner? seriously pais, you must know of him."

"uh, i don't think so. in my defense i am always busy with work and school, i don't get out much" i try and explain myself.

"yeah, i can tell! i think you'd like his content, it'd get you away from binging dumb netflix shows, and tiktok." she starts laughing.

"maybe i'll have to check him out. but while we're mentioning it, i must return to my netflix shows so i can go to sleep. i unfortunately have class in the morning." i say, while starting to close out all of my tabs.

"okay," she sighs, "i guess i'll talk to you tomorrow. you should stream! you're getting close to two-thousand subs."

"yeah, i'll try to if i'm not too tired. goodnight!" i tell her, ending the discord call, and putting my computer to sleep.

i head to the bathroom to take out my contacts and brush my teeth. i practically jump into bed, my absolute favorite part of the day, and turn on my television to play some background sound. i'm about to get on tiktok when lily texts me,

a notification pops up on my phone, lily had replied to my tweet.

i rolled my eyes at her response. i guess i'll have to check this dream guy out, i think it's cool that he was a record breaker for speed running. i pull up youtube and my eyes go wide looking at his subscriber count. i really need to watch more youtube i guess. i start watching one of his videos, "minecraft speedrunner vs 2 hunters"

i was actually enjoying the video a lot, the concept was really interesting. but another twitter notification went off while i was watching it,

hi! so i know the formatting is really bad i'm not quite sure how i want to make it yet but i really have just been itching to try this so i made a whole new account for this book specifically.

i will try to get a new chapter posted soon, i have a lot of ideas for this story, but the beginning is where i'm rocky at so just hang on with me :)
