"River! What the hell are you doing?" Harmony yelled after her twin sister, her sapphire-coloured eyes glimmering angrily. River rolled her eyes, not answering. She was too interested in the spell she was practising to care. She knew that Harmony was only jealous of how powerful she was. Harmony groaned,"Why won't you just talk to me?" she questioned, glaring. River glared back, still silent. Harmony even heard the cricket's complaint about how loud she was. "Why won't you just talk to me for god's sake?" she repeated furiously. River sighed, not even looking. Harmony screamed in anguish, vibrant rays of brightness circling her. She was losing control of her magic once again. Tears rolled down her cheeks, glaring through her uncontrollable pain. River looked down, knowing that Harmony needed her. She ran to her sister and held her up. Harmony glared,"Oh now you care?" she pulled away from River and pushed her down. River rubbed her head, sighing. "Why can't we just get along, Harmony?" she muttered, making sure her sister doesn't hear her. Rain poured down the forest, due to Harmony's intolerable magic. River groaned,"Now we need to find shelter. Why can't we just go home?" Harmony looked up at her sister, clear stress in her eyes, "Do you want to find out why mom died or should I do it myself?" River grinned, brushing dirt off her hands, "I'd like to see you try." Harmony's eyes shimmered blankly at River's words. River got up, placing her backpack back on her back,"Come on, dummy," she grinned. "Let's go find out why mom died, kay?" Harmony sighed in relief, nodding. River nudged her gently and laughed, not knowing why Harmony has suddenly lost her flames. Harmony gave a radiant smile, her eyes widening. River backed off, noticing how her sister is acting. Harmony stared blankly at her twin, not blinking. "Join me in the light, dear sister. Join me..." River blinked, her heart beating faster than ever before. "Who are you and what have you done to my sister?" Harmony laughed, "Oh silly, I am your sister." Her eyes went pure white. She stepped closer to River. River was paralysed, she couldn't move, she couldn't speak. She felt dizzy and afraid. She was shaking while Harmony put her arms around her, not letting her move. River suddenly felt like she was letting go of her control. She tried to fight the comfortable feeling of nothing off, shrieking, however it didn't help. She fell asleep, not knowing what was suddenly going on.
"River!" Harmony yelled, her blue eyes filled with worry. River opened her eyes, her eyes also back to blue. "What just happened?" she asked. Harmony frowned, looking down. She sighed, not sure how to explain. "We're getting controlled, River.. I don't know how.. But someone is mind controlling us.. For now we're fine but in the night-" River gulped, shaking. She got up, clutching her stomach. Suddenly, men in black-coloured suits circled the two girls. ''More posssesed witches, noted.'' one said. Harmony blinked, holding River up. The man sighed, eyeing the young girls in front of them. ''But- how-'' Harmony said, shivering. Another man came closer to them, crouching down. ''An evil force has possesed you. We're not sure why,but witches all over Glimmerbrook have been possesed, except one.'' River's eyes widened, how come only one person managed to be protected. ''Do you know who it is?'' she asked. The man shook his head.
Meanwhile,a young man came out of the bushes. His pink eyes followed the scene, curious. He sneaked around trees after trees, laying his eyes on the girl with the pretty, pale complexion and blue eyes. He narrowed his eyes at the word 'possesed' and sighed. ''Another pair..'' he thought to himself, still eyeing the pale girl, seeming like she was around his age. ''B-but we- we did nothing-'' he heard her say. leaning in to hear better,he watched the worried girls huddle closer to one another. ''Its not your fault, young woman.'' the man told her. River sighed in relief, her heart still pounding. The trees rustled violently in their wake, almost like giving them a sign. The boy's pink eyes widened, pushing his untamed brown hair out of his face. He sighed, getting closer. ''Morgyn!'' a familiar voice yelled after him. It was his sister,Francesca, nicknamed Frances, who had clearly been looking over him. He glared at his sister,''Why can't I just be left alone?'' She rolled his eyes and crossed her arms. He looked attentitively at her, still glaring at Francesca. ''Because,'' she answered,''We're the only people without the curse!'' her pink eyes shone luminously in the thunderstorm, the trees even more vicious than they were before. He rolled his eyes. ''Of course, how could I forget?'' he said sarcastically. She grinned, looking down at him,as he was a lot shorter. ''You've been seeing someone haven't you?'' he blinked and rubbed his head,''Me? Nahh, totally not!'' Francesca put her arm around his shoulder and laughed,''Come on,dummy. Let's go home.''
