~Yawn~
"Ah! We finally finished the last day of our finals!"
The room burst with chatters about what they plan to do during the summer break. Such as, going to the beach, having road trips, or just staying at home.
"What's wrong, Maggie?" Kimberly asked her stressed friend.
"Mum wants me to go there again."
"Where?"
"Office." She deadpanned.
"Oh. But hey, you got a little advantage on this business thingy. Sure, having to own and run your family company is quite hard," Kim started, looking at Maggie, who was raising a brow.
"Okay, very hard. But who cares? You'll be successful. I assure you." Kim smiled.
Maggie looked through the window and saw gray clouds rolling upon the summer sky.
"Kim, it's going to rain. Is Sir Jim coming?" she nudged her friend.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. Hey, wanna ride to the office?" she offered, wearing her bag and ready to take off.
"Sure." Maggie wore her knapsack and headed towards the door. As they passed through, goodbyes were directed to them.
They ran to the car when the rain started pouring down. They dried themselves off.
"Sir J, please drop Maggie off at InterTech Inc. downtown." Kim asked her chaffeur politely.
"Very well, Ms. Oxford." Sir Jim started the car and drove.
The rain poured harder and harder each minute. Kim's phone rang.
"Hi mom." She talked through the phone, looking down at her nails.
Maggie tried look through the window but failed. All she saw were raindrops dripping down fastly. With nothing to do, she looked to the front.
Everything at that time happened so fast. Kim was still busy talking through the phone, while Sir J was trying to look through the heavy rain.
Maggie looked straight forward. She squinted her eyes as she saw a flash of light from a swerving truck.
"Watch out!" Maggie shouted. Kim's head shot up and shrieked.

"Ugh.."
Maggie groaned and tried to look around with blurry eyesight.
"Ugh.." She groaned again. Her vision was clearing slowly, then completely.
Blood was dripping down her cheek. She looked at her hand which was throbbing, due to a huge, deep scar.
Everything flashed back. The rain, the light, the truck, and Kim's shriek.
Kim.
Her head immediately snapped to her left. She saw her, partially covered with a thick coat of crimson red.
Horrified by the sight of her, her tears rolled down her cheeek mixing with her blood. She poked Kim's body, hoping that she is still alive. She even shook her gently, then she shook her vigorously because Kim wasn't responding.
"Ugh..." Kim groaned finally. Maggie's face was washed with relief.
"Kim.. Kim!" She said, slightly adjusting so that she's somewhat facing Kim.
"Huh?" Kim's eyes fluttered open. Her face was filled with confusion. Then she looked at Maggie, seeing a stream of blood dripping down her cheek. Then, she was shocked. Speechless.
"M-Maggie... What.. what happened?" She stuttered, anxiety obvious in her voice.
"I think we crashed." She simply said. Then she shifted, trying to look outside the shattered window.
Kim tried to sit as upright as possible, realizing that her hand was clutching her phone.
She gasped audibly, making Maggie spin her head back to her.
"What? What happened?" Maggie inquired.
"Please work, pleaase..." Kim mumbled.
"Hello? Kim? Is this you??" a voice from the other line said.
"Mom!! Yes, it's me!!"
"What happened? All I heard was Maggie shouting, then you shrieking, then CRASH!" Mrs. Oxford said, imitating the sound of the shattering window.
"Mom, can you come and get us?"
"Sure, where are you kids?""Er.. We're at.. We don't know." Maggie hung her head in panic.
"Well, we're probably near the school and downtown." Kim said.
"I'm on my way."
-Beep beep-
"Ughh.. My head is hurting." Maggie shook her head.
"Mag, pull your self together! Mom is coming. Mag? Margaret, don't you dare pass out on me."
But she already did.
