Lapis POV

It had been three years since I've been on Earth as soon as word spread about the diamonds not going to hurt anyone and actually changed a lot I decided to return but I'm pretty nervous I did miss peridot Steven and pretty oddly enough I missed the Crystal Gems but I decided to leave the barn on the moon just in case I was actually pretty much excited to see pumpkin the others again as soon as I landed the near Beach City I can immediately tell something is off I walked through the town of Beach City it was oddly pretty empty and very quiet I imagine to get back to the temple and even it was pretty quiet actually gotten a pretty decent upgrade I also changed my looks as well cuz I was getting tired of regular dress I knocked on the door the door opened and I was introduced with an older Steven I was pretty surprised how much you grown but then again like he usually would say nothing lasts forever on planet Earth Steven:"LAPIS!!" He shower didn't surprise before hugging me really tightly and he dragged me back into the temple and shut and walked the door then I was ambushed by the Crystal Gems welcoming me back pumpkin jumped in barked at me and excitement I was happy to see her too I was happy to see that she was doing well everyone else seems to be doing well but someone was missing peridot Lapis:" where is peridot?" They didn't give me an immediate answer but amethyst explained that it's a long story that didn't matter to me I just wonder if Peridot was doing well

None POV

Peridot remained in the bathroom for a long time before actually roaming around again getting better overtime but she was still sad that lapis left her behind but Peridot had to prepare for rubies and sapphires wedding she changed into a yellow dress and pink shoes Peridot had never worn a dress before let alone anything other than green and yellow she felt really weird wearing it but it was the only thing she had ever since lapis left besides her original clothes needed to be washed she'll hang them up to dry before the wedding the wedding was crazy the diamonds attacked and everything and the whole Homeworld thing happened it was crazy but after everything calmed down and became peaceful there was the spinel incident but after that everything calms down until something happened no one new what happened all the got of the time was gems going around biting other gems and turning into corrupted gems and this spread like wildfire so what the Crystal Gems had a laboratory built for gems and humans to research about what's going on oddly enough even humans got affected by it but they acted more like if they had rabies then actually turning into a monster and they even had zoos that were supposed to hold some of these corrupted gems and the seem to be humans that act like they had rabies but actually don't the thing is these corrupted gems were ten times more hostile than their original corrupted gems that the Crystal Gems previously faced even ones that used to have the corruption got re-infected but we're more hostile than ever the Crystal Gems forced everyone to go into quarantine for their own safety even the mayor had to always put the exact same reminder out for everyone in case someone forgot the Crystal Gems got a call from the laboratory a few months previous almost a year ago when it was snowing out for the last time that year the laboratory asked for them to send someone because they needed more help no one volunteered to help so peridot decided to go to the laboratory and help out and they haven't heard a word from the laboratory sense let alone peridot.

Lapis POV

I couldn't believe what they just told me first the diamonds attacked but that's was dealt with then a spinel attacked but that was also dealt with now this whole virus thing was going around and Peridot still upset with the fact that I left it made me felt guilty for even leaving in the first place Garnet:" we're going to check on the ones in the laboratory because we didn't get a word from them in a while and they're not picking up" Pearl:"Can't you use you future vision Garnet?" Garnet:" no I can't use it there's an interference something is wrong in the laboratory that's preventing me from seeing in there of what's going to happen" this made me because Peridot is in there and if something is preventing from garnets from seeing anyting anything that's going to happen in the laboratory something is seriously wrong like she said I agreed that I'll come along so I can see for sure if Peridot is okay but deep down I have a feeling that she is not okay we started our way to the laboratory I was hoping that everything is actually okay and it was only just a delay or something like that but when we made it there was very concerning
