"Hello sir I am Y/n L/n third generation fire user" the man who was lifting weights in his arms asked me inside his office. He had broad shoulders and defined muscles all around his body; it looked as if he was almost always working out of some sort.
"Ah yes I am, but may I ask why you are working out at this moment" deciding that it was pretty unusual of my captain to be doing this, I resumed eye contact and he looked me straight in the eye.
"I don't have any special fire ability of my own so i focus on what i can achieve, oh I don't think i introduced myself yet I'm captain obi. Handing his free hand out I shook it. "Thank you for having me" I bowed politely. Captain obi suddenly dropped the weights and stood up.
"Let me introduce you to your new team ". He stepped out of the room and I soon followed his lead.
After a short stroll down the halls of the company we arrived at a door which looked like it belonged to an office. Captain obi pulled the door open and inside held desks that were tightly packed together in the small space accompanying the room was also stacks of paper lined nearly all the way to the roof.
There were people working in the room who I presumed were my new subordinates and seniors. A well built and cheerful looking girl stood up in awe at me while the others continued to stare, I moved back shyly into my new captain's shadow, everything was super intimidating.
A chuckle escaped the captain's lips "Now everyone don't stare at you making her nervous this is our new recruit y/n l/n".
Walking out of my new captain's shadow I lowered myself in respect to the new strangers I would be sharing my space with. While pulling myself up I noticed a defeated blonde boy with a stack of paper higher than any of the others, I had to admit it was impressive.
He was also aloof and idiotic looking somehow, he snapped out of the defeated trance he was under and stared straight at me, i held the weird eye contact i was put under.
"You idiot Arthur stop staring at her" he earned a hard punch on the head by a black haired male who had crimson eyes.
His name was Arthur.
"OW you damn demon, i was just studying the new princess of my castle" he puffed back Earning another punch from the well built women that stood up before.
He clutched his head in annoyance.
I felt the heat rise to my face no one had ever called me a princess before, during the academy I had some confessions made to me but they never called me something as flirtatious as this before.
She walked right up to me and took my hands in hers "Nice to meet you I'm maki you'll be bunking with me from today!". "Nice to meet you Maki" I shook her hand back .
Seeing her up close she was really pretty she had long thick eyelashes and she had the prettiest pair of purple orbs.
Soon I was introduced by the whole team; they were kind and welcoming. I learned that the boy with crimson eyes was called Shinra and he had a rivalry relationship with the other adolescent male around the same age as myself.
Also there was another captain other than obi, captain Hinawa he greeted me with a monotone look and a weird alien cap in bold letters said alien champ.
"Well y/n shall we get going i'll show you to your room " Maki had taken my hand and dragged me off before i even blurted out a reply.
After a quick stroll around the halls of the company she led me to what looked like a hotel type situation all the rooms had numbers on each of them and a small slot for the handle.
Damn this was a pretty run down place even even if they accomplished some astonishing things.
Maki smiled at me almost as if I said what I thought out loud and pulled out a worn out wooden door led inside a clean room with bunk beds on to the left and right next to it there was a night stand holding a small glass vase with some small cute pastel flowers.
"Not much right" she said sheepishly scratching her chin and sitting down on the bottom bunk.
"No no not at all, honestly it's much better as to when i was in the academy we shared rooms with a bunch of others" i waved my arms around in a panic denying the look i had on before.
The corners of her lips tugged and formed into a small laughing fit "your so cute y/n". She grabbed my hands once again "I think you'll fit right in here".
"Geez teasing a new recruit on her first day on the job" I puffed out my cheeks and crossed my arms teasingly. "Pleasee forgivee me y/n~" .
Pearls of laughter suddenly busted from my eyes. "Maki you're really weird you know" I wiped away a couple of tears from my eyes.
She raised up from the bed slowly.
"Okay take your time familiarizing yourself around here and come to the office where we just where, i hope you still remember the way and when you've finished up and we need you to complete some paperwork before you start officially working" lifting herself up she gave me one last reassuring smile and exited the door leaving me to my thoughts.
Maki gave me mature older sister vibes. I never had a family member I could look up to so it was nice to be surrounded by something like that.
I sunk into my new bed and let my thoughts wander for a while processing what just went though i remember the blonde who called me a princess in such a way, i grabbed my pillow stuffing it to my face feeling the heat rush to my face ugh what a first impression he made on me.
Also he was quite handsome too.
Let's start off by looking around for my bags, they were develived here so I wouldn't have to drag them and cause a hassle while coming here. "Ah there you guys are" there were two gym bags right under the bed. I pulled them out and looked somewhere to hang up my clothes.
There didn't seem like anywhere was one so i pushed my bags back under and walked around the small space some more.
A small splash of sun hit my cheeks, I looked outside seeing the warm tones of the sun set.
