THE NEXT HEROES: APOLLO'S UNDOING
BLAKE
WHEN THEY ARRIVED at Camp Halfblood, Blake looked at Annabeth and Percy sheepishly.
Percy opened the back door of the car open to grab Avery, and saw Blake too.
"Blake!" Annabeth exclaimed.
"Hi?" Blake waved back, sheepishly.
"Your parents are going to be so mad," Percy laughed out loud.
"Well I couldn't just sit there! Avery is my best friend. I'm worried about her," Blake sheepishly said.
They nodded and carried Avery up Camp Halfblood hill, and into the Big House.
Knocking on the door to the meeting room, it was suddenly opened up by a centaur.
The centaur was wearing his Party Pony 2009 shirt, and he had a stressed look on his face, almost as if he had been waiting for them to come.
"Chiron," Percy explained as he placed Avery down on the table. "She passed out and started muttering these words...
"Three must go to the city of wind
And receive what has been taken
One of four shall perish in the night
Should they fail then it will be
The fall of the sun and his final verse."
Chiron's face went ashen; Annabeth stood next to Blake, trying to blink back her tears. Percy looked down at Avery, determined to make sure that she wouldn't have to go through what he did.
Blake, however, probably wasn't ashen. He probably wasn't crying. He wasn't worried. Okay, he was. Blake knew that Avery was brave deep inside.
Blake had always enjoyed it when Avery placed people into groups, whether it be the four Houses of Hogwarts, the factions/Divergent, and so forth.
She had placed Blake in Gryffindor, and also placed him into the Dauntless faction.
Hannah had been placed into the Ravenclaw house and into Erudite.
Avery placed herself into Slytherin and factionless.
"So," Annabeth managed to choke out, wiping the tears that she had unsuccessfully tried to blink back. "Who are the three?"
Chiron looked at Avery, Blake, and Hannah.
After looking at them for a moment each, his ancient eyes looked at the adults in the room.
"Hannah Grace, Blake Valdez and Avery Jackson."
