hello in the rain // ryland storms fanfic

what the hell?!

   I woke up the next day snuggled up to Ryland. His arms were around my waist and my head was in the crook of his neck. My hands were in his hoodie resting on his bare chest. I smiled with him being with me. Now we weren't just 'talking', we were dating. Official. The thought of that just made me smile. It gave me butterflies as well. Ryland must've woke up because his eyes opened.
"Morning shawty." He said, his voice croaked from just waking up. I giggled. "Goodmorning." I replied kissing him. "Official kisses now hm?" He said smiling. "Yep. Andddd thats means your a simp." I said laughing at him. "Shhh don't tell the guys." He replied kissing my nose.
"So we need to talk." I said with a serious face to make him scared. "What?!" He immediately sat up. I bursted our laughing. "Silly it's nothing bad but we do need to talk if we are gonna be public or private."
"I'm fine with either. I'd prefer public though because I feel like it would get said without us paying attention anyways." He replied. "Same." I said back. "Public it is." I laughed.

"I love you." I said as me and Ry got up. "I love you more." He replied. "Not possible." I said kissing him. Nick came and knocked on our door and we let him in.
"Finally my god! Y'all took ages to just get together." He said. We all laughed. "I think i'm gonna go shopping with my child today. I miss her." I said walking to the bathroom to look in the mirror. "Who??" They both asked. "Charli you idiots." I said giggling. "Ohhhh ok." Ryland said. I walked to the closet and changed in there.
I put on some baggy jeans with rips and a cute black cardigan. I put some cute necklaces on and put my nike black and white jordan 1's on. I put on light makeup then curled my hair.
    I walked out of the bathroom and Ryland just stared at me. "What do I look bad??" I said worried. "You look beautiful baby." He said smiling. I smiled and gave him a kiss. "Love you bye." I said. "Love you too." He replied waving at me as I walked out the door.
    I messaged Charli to tell her I was coming to pick her up. I got in Rylands car and drove to her house. I got out and said hi to everyone them me and her left. "I missed you Char!" I said giving her a hug. "I missed you to Babes!" She replied. We talked for awhile about everything in general. We talked about her and Chase then me and Ryland.
   "So you all are dating officially?" She asked. "Yep." "He asked me to be his girlfriend at the beach yesterday." I replied. "How about you and Chase?" I asked. "Well we aren't dating but I like him. I'm just scared he will hurt me again you know?" She said. "I get that. He messed up and I know it's hard to put the trust you had in him again but I think he'll be better if you give him another chance." I said pulling into the mall. "Yea I think your right." She answered back.
    We shopped at the mall for 2 hours. We went back to the car and packed it all inside. When we were done I dropped her back off at her house and I went home.
   I brought all my stuff inside and stopped inside to see something I didn't want to see. Ryland. Beating the shit out of Max. "YOU PREICE OF SHIT!!" He was yelling. "R-Ryland..??" I called out. My words were shaky. Nick saw me and ran over to me. "Nick make him stop!!" I yelled at him. "Bailey just come with me." He said grabbing my arm. I made a slight noise because he was holding my arm tight."No make him stop!" I yelled again. "Bailey fucking come on!!" Nick slammed his hand on the wall. "You don't fucking scare me." I said right before I ran over to where they were. I had tears in my eyes. Not because I cared about Max it's because I just walked into Ryland beating the shit out of someone.
"Ryland please!!" I said grabbing his arms back. "Nick get the fuck off!!" He yelled pushing me away. "I'm not Nick Ryland!" I yelled hitting him in the back. I could tell it hurt him because he stopped to turn back and look at me. I had tears down my face.
"Bailey.." He said as he got up. "I'm sorry..I didn't know you were here." He said as he went to give me a hug. I backed away. I wasn't scared of him and I knew he wouldn't hurt me. I was just frightened at what happened. "Bailey?" He said confused. "I'm gonna go to the room. Get Max out of here now and don't hit him again." I said as I ran to the room.
I ran into the bathroom and took a very quick shower. Ryland still wasn't in the room when I got out. I put on my sports bra and some sweats. I sat down in the bed and thought about what happened. What was the reason of him doing that? And why was Max even here? Thought ran through my mind.
I heard- the door open and saw Ryland. His face was beat a little which meant Max hit him too. "Hey." He said as he sat down in front of me.
I didn't have much of an answer just smiled slightly at him. He went to put his hand on mine but i backed it away. "Bailey don't be like that.." He said. "I watched you just beat the shit out of someone and I don't know the reason. Your eyes had rage in them. And the fact Nick hurt me too scared me." I said getting angry. "Nick hurt you?!" He asked. "He just grabbed my arm. But why'd you do that?!" I replied. "He came in and started screaming at me and then went to go find you." Ryland said. "Whatever can we please just go to bed." I said laying down. "Yea." He replied.
    He layed down against me and I feel asleep. I felt safe with him just..his eyes were full of anger.
